Title: Emerald driver configuration - decimal floating numbers
Post by: ilkeraktuna on December 16, 2013, 09:30:38 PM
Hi,

I am using Turkish locale on my PC.
When I use the format 0,2 as a second (time) value on the Obsidian launcher, it removes the point and makes it 2
Is  this normal ? how can I set numbers less than 1 ?

ok; I solved this bychanging my locale settings.
But I think this should be handled with the software.
where should I write this ?

Thx.

the issue here is the way decimal points are handled in different cultures.

for example, in Britain, as well as in the United States, where the software was made, the decimal point is represented with a . symbol. I believe that in continental Europe, and possibly other areas, the , symbol is used instead. try using the .   for example, type 0.2 instead of 0,2 that should do the trick.

Hi,

I know the source of the problem. But just changing the separator in the app does not solve it. I had to change the locale I use.

That's not a good solution. Most professional software solve this problem within the app. It allows use of seperator according to the locale on the OS.

I couldn't get any reply from US about this issue.
Any ideas as a permanent solution ?
