I'm thinking of buying a mid grade blade for show and only us my heavy grade when dueling.
This especially makes sense because mid-grade blades are usually brighter and sometimes have better color; the saber will look better even aside from the lack of marks on the blade.
I fixed this issue by purposefully marking the entire blade
