for dueling in would be a fine choice because it fits more naturally to your hand as opposed to a straight grip and hilt. Many years of ren fair and LARP combat taught me that

Very true I find curved hilts to be one of the most comfortable to duel with so easy to handle and swing around.

Also very true I have the eFX Dooku stunt saber and I must say although it is just the hilt it is so elegant and even holding it feels fantastic and I can tell if Ultra do a good job on a curved hlt (which I'm sure they will because they also do a great job) it will look and feel just superb.

Yeah I find it a bit annoying to have to hunt down someone else's FFX lightsaber stand that they don't want which is pretty hard to do.

Honestly they could just be made out of wood, painted black, with aluminum holders for holding the saber it self. They wouldn't even need to have Star Wars or UltraSabers on them. They could just be plan.....
Hmmm....-gets idea, and runs off to get drawing pad-...I'll get back to you on this.

Yeah they can just be simple and you could make them pretty cheap, I think plastic could be cheaper to mass produce then wood.

It depends; but I have my idea all drawn up. Now I'm off to the garage first to find what I need. Then to Home Depot to buy the rest of what I don't already have. I'll post images when it starts to come together.

I'm not sure how easy it would be, but I reckon it'd be awesome to have a part of the website which shows you what your purchase is going to look like, for example: You want a Dark Catalyst with Blazing Red, Adegan Silver FoC, and a red illuminated button. If you've never seen that setup before, how do you know if you really like it? I know there's a spot in the forums where people can request photos, but if there were some way of making it an instant demo picture by choosing the seperate elements of the saber and adding them together, I think it'd be a lot faster and easier to make a decision. Just a thought.

The only thing that is preventing me from buying sabers from here is that the obsidian board does not offer the flicker effect other than during the lockup. That's why my only saber has a Petit Crouton. Once this is offered here I will certainly buy a few sabers.

I'm not positive, but I would think that with the new Obsidian upgrade where you can speed up the lockup flash, you might be able to get a good flicker going and just swap the lockup sound for the idle hum. Just a thought of course.
