How does the Arbiter handle as far as combat is concerned? I don't necessarily know all of the requirements... but is it balanced, light enough to move quickly? (I assume durability is, well, assumed.) I know the hilt is significantly longer than many other sabers'.

It is my favorite hilt. I use it for combat all the time.

It certainly is long, but it's a VERY light hilt. Honestly, I love the Arby. I know if you're looking to compensate for the longer hilt, Manroon suggests using an Initiate blade. Smaller blade, but closer to a normal length overall. My fiancee who is a foot shorter than I am can use it easily with a normal blade though, and I love it (I'm 6'6)

Oh, I don't have any problem with length. I am taller than 6 feet (or else everyone who tells me they are and who are shorter than me are lying: every time I've measured myself it's come out different  Tongue). I just wondered if the long hilt would interfere with spins (or as Master Nonymous calls them, orbits [at least in Soresu, anyway]).

Is it lighter than the Aeon v2 (which is what I have now)?

It'll be heavier than the Aeon V2, but not by too much. It's not a bad hilt for spins, and it's probably going to have the closest thickness to that V2 of yours out of any MHS saber. One of the reasons I love it so much is that thinner diameter, it's very close to my old SI V2 which I LOVE. Also, it's the best hilt there is for hilt spins.  Grin (a hilt spin is what I call it when you spin a hilt with no blade in your hand, like a cowboy spins a six shooter in a western) Overall, it's a great fighting hilt. The length gives you a lot of control and power.

I'm totally not surprised that the three biggest Arbiter fans posted here almost immediately.  As soon as I saw this thread I thought, "I bet Master Nonymous, Manroon, and BenPass will be able to answer this question"... and voila!

Don't you use it with a 24" blade?

True, but it's the length of the hilt I was talking about in this instance. Of course, the shorter blade really is the only way to go on an arby, that takes control and multiplies it exponentially. Wink

Hey Ben, you forgot to say Spidey. lol *waits for Kham to post now*

I'm using a Dark Arbiter in the vertical saber orbits video.

There is no problem. Get it.
