This song got me into Nightwish all those years ago. My gosh, the lyrics, the riffs, the keyboards, the vocals... perfection.

I dusted off my copy of Dark Passion Play (I have the deluxe edition Smiley), and I'm listening to it right now. Can't believe I stopped listening to it. It has everything I crave in music, and more. If my parent's weren't in the house, I would be cranking it up loud.

It was great! Much better than Imaginaerum, which I believe lacked creativity. Just because your vocalist isn't Tarja anymore doesn't mean you can't do anything with who you have.... The only song off of Imaginaerum that I really enjoy is Slow, Love, Slow. It was written very well for Anette's vocal style. I can think of several songs that I enjoyed just as much on Dark Passion Play.

The only song off of Imaginerium that I enjoyed was Storytime. I really like the overall composition of that song, as well as the vocal melodies.

I'm listening to Flyleaf's Memento Mori album now. I would love to speak with their guitarists and their producer about how they achieve their tone, because it's just perfect. Also, Lacey Sturm is the greatest female rock singer of all time, IMO. I wish she didn't leave Sad

That's ironic, I was just listening to it earlier as well. It's decent stuff now, but at the time it was incredibly disappointing because its extremely delayed release lead me (and many others) to have very high expectations. Flyleaf has unfortunately gone downhill since and I loathe their new singer.

Oddly enough, my favorite track on Memento Mori is Bitter Sweet, an iTunes pre-order exclusive for the Expanded Edition. Exclusive songs like that tend to be bland, but Bitter Sweet is quite impressive.

Yeah, I think the album could have been better. There is just too much repetition in some of the songs. Still, I thoroughly enjoy every song on the record, and I think the album as a whole is really good. I absolutely love the chorus to Treasure. When Lacey sings that, it always puts a smile on my face for some reason. Her voice is just... wow.

I only have the regular CD Sad

That gives me a sad... the bonus tracks are well worth whatever the extra cost is.

Meh, I don't even use iTunes. Also, when I bought the CD I had no idea there were extra tracks anyway.

They are really good.  And they tend to have really really good lyrics too, which is a huge plus in my book.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can agree with that though.
