Kylo Ren custom Flamberge

Got my flamberge finished today and so happy it survived all the abuse - drilling, sawing, gluing. The wire was really interesting, I used some staples set into tiny holes to hold it in place. Sawed down half of the side emitters to give the beveled effect on them. Also cut into the body of the saber to create that cut-away part to house the red wire and the blue one. As usual click a link for full size. Some of them came out rotated weird but you can still see the work that went into this.

How well do those blades stay in with the cut holders?

I cut them in such a way that theres still two retention screws on them. They stay in pretty well I think but not as sturdy as they were before.

I considered doing something like that to mine.  I think a shroud would be the way I'd go.  But honestly I use my Flamberge pretty much exclusively for dueling now so I've never done much else to it other than sanding it down and scratching it up.

The wire was the trickiest part, but its not that difficult really if you have a drill bit and some super glue. Give it a go~!
