Looking for any "straightened" Mantis info...

Hey Saber forum!   I am hoping y'all will help me out.   I remember seeing a couple of customization threads and/or pics of Mantis sabers where the elbow was taken out and the saber was "straightened" as it were.  Probably with other mods as well.

I am looking for info on how this was done.  I love several elements of this saber but I am not a fan of the elbow.  That being said, I would love to straighten one out, but I want to make sure that elbow comes apart without doing damage to internals, etc.

Any info would be helpful.  Pictures would be great.  Thanks everyone!
