Very nice just one thing if you like it its cool just to me the tsuka seems too loose and dangles.

Thank you! Yeah, that ribbon is a little hard to work with on the sleek hilt, it wiggles around a tiny bit but its on there pretty well. And there's about 3 yards still dangling waiting to be trimmed off.

May I make a suggestion? Fold the tsuka at each fold twice and lightly glue the top and bottom. |

Try using bees wax, it will make ribbon shrink, it will tighten
it up on the hilt... not really sure how the clean up will be

Nice! point from me. I think that was a great idea! My gf already has one or I would totally do this too. I like the wrap you did and I even think leaving some of it (6-8 inches) off the end would be cool looking.

Wow! Thanks for the suggestions, kagemusha and everyone! Akos, you read my mind! Exactly what I was thinking about leaving a few inches hanging off. I used some tape folded over at the beginning of the wrap to hold it in place a little bit. I didn't know how it would turn out and wasn't sure how permanent it was going to be so I didn't want to glue anything down or make any lasting modifications to the hilt just yet. But I think it turned out pretty cool. I'll see what she thinks before going too crazy with it  |
