I have used it to make purses, small chests, and even "wood" props for opera and theater stages.

Best thing is that you can make something in minutes...so it is a great emergency plan...take your time and it becomes useful and inexpensive  Smiley

If I had to count the last minute... "OMG we don't have this prop! And its opening night and the play has started!"...realizations I would be rich. I have had to pull at lest 10 props out of my ass in about 10 minutes.

Another good place to find pouches is to dig through the bags/purses bin at a thrift store - if you can find something plain, remove the straps/handles and cut some vertical slices in the back to create belt loops. 

Bang - instant genuine leather pouch.   Smiley

I found a few pouch patterns at my local store might buy them and play with those if I can make them I will be able to sell them with costumes.
