So my hubby and I are proud new first home owners starting today :D

We are understandably quite pleased with ourselves and excited, it's a fairly large place in decent condition considering it is a 70s house and the land size is decent for the suburbs here. And it has a pool ;D

Within the space of a year and a half I've gotten married to the love of my life, gotten surgery on my ankle to fix an injury I've had for more than half my life (15.5 years and while not completely fixed yet it's a helluva lot better) and then bought a house with said love of my life. Now I just need to get a new job and everything will be on the up and up :D

Now.... To put up all those Star Wars posters and prints and get more display cabinets for all my SW goodies :D

(after the moving and cleaning.... Those are not such fun bits)

Hi Blondie.  All this news is fantastic and I am so happy for you.  The pool ( seriously  :D ) will really help with your ankle therapy and therefore future employment opportunities.  Can't wait to see the home photos and all your lego and SW displays.  Let's not forget about your saber collection and all your cosplay outfits.   +1  :D

We are hoping to get some mannequins later for some of the outfits- when I retire the Reach Spartan armour from active duty I'd love to put it on display :D

This new house is large- 4 bedroom, two bathroom, with huge kitchen and separate meals, living and home theatre. And large outdoor entertainment area. And enclosed garage area. Which is rather suitable for our crafty work :D

Congratulations on all of the last year plus.  Sounds like you've accomplished a lot and had a lot of fun doing it.

Lol, video.... probably not. far too lazy and exhausted after 3 days of moving. We have a lot of junk  :-\ soooo tired and sore right now.

Congrats!  Getting a new house is exciting, especially when it's your first house.  Getting a pool with your first house is pretty unusual, and extra cool.  :)

Do the spiders there like swimming pools?

Actually pools aren't so unusual here in Perth. It gets hot here in summer, if you look at aerial photos every other house in this area have them :P

And no the spiders don't like the pool Abaddon :P

Congrats on all of your big news! I'm in the process of buying a house on my own for the first time and am so excited to have a space to make my nerd cave and a yard for my father/son lightsaber battles. :)

You should post pics of the new digs when you get things set up!
