Got me a pair of Lacrosse gloves this weekend. Retail price was $99 got them on clearance for $21. Cant complain one bit about this turn of events. My kids have been hitting me non stop and I don't feel a thing. Here are the gloves I got.  |

As I don't have anyone to spar with yet I don't need protection on the back of my hand/knuckles. I have found however that a good pair of biking gloves or something similar keeps my saber from rubbing my skin between my thumb and forefinger when doing spins and helps me get used to the feeling of wearing gloves with my saber. Still keeping an eye out for a good cheap pair of motocross or lacrosse gloves for when I can begin sparring though.

I wear fingerless paintball gloves, first cause they keep my hands warm, second because they provide friction and grip on my hilt, and third because they look cool. Fingerless instead of regular because it gives my fingers more control.

Totally Agree Racona Nova Thats why I got those Lacrosse gloves. Its amazing how many times my fingers were smashed by my 6 year old (He has 2 Dark Initiates (BR) that he uses separately and as a staff). Im not about to stop sparring just because my fingers are a bit sore. Now that I got the gloves...NO MORE PAIN! No matter how hard he hits me. |

I am told by Ugo (some of you will know him from the TPLA web conferences) that the gloves will be made available for the general public sometime in the first months of 2015. However, if you guys are interested, I can meanwhile take some more pictures, as I have several pairs around.
You don't accidentally have some new information about the 'public glove release', do you? I'd love to get my hands in a pair of them... (Horrible pun, I know  ) |

This may seem odd, but if you're just looking for extra padding, it seems like padded biking gloves work, especially ones with some Gel pads on the palm.
