My new neighbor loves working on his truck, which is cool because I like working on cars myself. However, his truck is kriffing LOUD AS HELL and he revs the engine or idles it for a good 35-45 minutes. It's SUPER irritating and while I hate to spoil his fun, I'm about to lose my damn mind. I think it's time for a chat.
Sounds like he's "compensating" if you ask me... Just my thought, like most guys with them big, ol trucks.. *Lifting my pinky finger |

When the hell did loud become the substitute for nice sounding? I hear a good Harley and I'm all about it. It is a beautiful sound. But TOO many times anymore I hear these losers with engines that are just loud. Seriously dipshells get your ride fixed. It sounds like crap. |

Never understood the whole "oh they're just compensating" thing...maybe they just like loud trucks/cars. I like big guns and big swords...does that automatically mean I'm "compensating". If they are doing during "quiet" hours then its a problem, Otherwise ignore it.

I shouldn't have to "ignore it" multiple times a day. Maybe I like peace and freakin' quiet. This is a neighborhood, not a garage. You wanna idle your loud-ass car for hours? Go rent and space and have at it. |

Actually, he is. There is a law in this state against excessively loud mods like that on bikes, cars, and other vehicles. You're allowed a certain "range" of noise, but this is waaaay over the top. For example, a Harley by itself is totally fine, but a Harley with a super loud mod is breaking the law. If it's shaking my windows, it's too. Kriffing. LOUD. The end. |
