I would suggest that you guys go for USPS instead of FedEx. I'm sure that their are good arguments seeing as how FedEx only delivers packages, but FedEx has a reputation for wrecking packages. I waited about a week and a half for my first saber to be shipped from the day it left the facility to the day it arrived on my doorstep. USPS arrived in 2 days! Yes, 2 freaking days. I trust USPS more, since they have never failed me. Try them out.

Well, I've never really had any problems with FedEx. Plus, our orders aren't exactly fragile so the state of the package is nil  Wink

US is actually quite clever with packaging in my estimation...I used to do a lot of stuff like that in a prior job, so I am confident saying that.  IMO FedEx delivers a better experience than the post office the majority of the time.  What I do recommend, though, is to do Express as opposed to Ground for fragile items.  Express items are touched fewer times in transit.

I trust the post office more than FedEx. I've had a few things come broken from them and my neighborhood has reported some drivers throwing the packages. The post office on the other is forced to get off their vehicle and individually place the mail along with packages.
For speed purposes, USPS is better.

Is the issue with Ground or with Express?  There IS a definite difference in quality with Express, which tends to be better than Ground.

Ground. I ain't paying for express. I'm merely speaking about the most economical portions. USPS totally trumps FedEx on that scale.

That's what your trouble is there--it's Ground.  Now, if your item's not fragile, it's a better experience because of the tracking than USPS.  But if what you've got is fragile...definitely Express.

I prefer UPS over both, but since that option isn't available I'll stick with USPS. The price hike to express is a bit to much. I rather just stick with $20 shipping. I got Amazon Prime and UPS always gets it to me in 2 days. Reasons why I love UPS and their dedication to fulfilling delivery times.

My package arrived at the destination facility just after midnight.  It just has to be transferred to the local post office before its sent out for delivery.  It said the expected delivery date was Friday, however.  But I've packages come a day early.  How likely is it that I'll receive it today (Thursday)?  I know this is a huge "depends" but oh man it's so close I can almost smell it...

For USPS, I have noticed the transfer to the local post office takes a full day.  It then goes out for delivery the day after THAT.

Ah, that does make sense based on experience.  Friday just can't come fast enough! Grin
