This is one of only two known ads using pop (as in popular, not as in soda pop) music where the ad came first, and then became so popular that the song was released afterward. The other was "We've Only Just Begun," by The Carpenters. Except that it wasn't only two. While struggling (and failing) to remember the second one, I found this link that lists seven more. Regardless of whether that list of nine is complete or not, I find it interesting that this was an ad jingle BEFORE it was a popular song. |
