Just hit player level 54, and did the Windu fleet training I unlocked. It gave me Mace, Ackbar, both of their ships, and the final achievement I needed to unlock Vader. Training droids please?

Yeah, this ships thing is nice for those that don't have all these characters already. Lots of freebies. As for Vader, well you enjoy that climb.  It took me months upon months to get him all the way to 7*. It was probably the better part of a year A fair number of shards from achievements, but the rest from the shard shop, 2 by 2 by 2 by 2, over and over. It appears that his shards appear in the Ships shipments now, but I wouldn't spend those on him. You need them for actual ship stuff more. |

Laughing? That thought never occurred to me. I know you wouldn't do that.  You know, I wish I could use your Anakin for Dark Side battles. I really got stuck trying to finish stage 5 on hard. Use your HK? Sure, the rest of my squad gets wiped out before they get a turn. HK will make it to the final encounter, maybe even revive, but win? Nope. |

Yeah honestly, HK's primary use is to Lead the 2 IG's.
They score tons of Critical Hits and with HK leading them, they gain 50% Turn Meter every time they do.
In Galactic War, I start out with those 3 Droids backed by Luminara & Qui Gon.
Now - my Qui Gon has REALLY good Speed (meaning his Turn Meter replenishes fast) but when I group him with the Droids, it's like he just stands there and watches because they get so many Turns!
HK does get serious bonus points though for having the best Attack Name in the entire game: "Meatbag Mayhem".
Awesome.

I already have Tarkin and his SD. Same here, almost to both of those. Yeah honestly, HK's primary use is to Lead the 2 IG's.

Well, he has 2000 power over any other DS character I can borrow. Although kewlkev's Boba is more fun to use. It is a fun attack, but it was more fun when it wiped the screen.  |

Yes, they do help. You are correct you can turn them into the shard shop and 1 shard gets you 15 shard shop points. I did get a great number of shards when this ship thing came out because I had most of the people already. It was a nice boost to getting Grievous, but I'm still not there with him. His grind is awful. However someone in my guild who does have him says he starts at like 5 or 6 stars, so that's a plus. Yeah honestly, HK's primary use is to Lead the 2 IG's.

Yeah, HK leading droids is brutal. If you want an ideal droid group you need to pick up Jawa Engineer. He rezzes and heals droids and gives them MORE speed. It's madness. The 5th slot in the party can be filled in with a few things. B2 or Grievous are nice to have, but if you want someone easier to pick up or someone you might already have, use Royal Guard. His taunts, health and armor buffs, plus his speed and stun debuffs make him pretty useful. |

Well I got wedge finally. I also promoted my rey to 6* and my biggs to 5*. 5 shards away from a 4* Zam Wessel, she only starts out at three star so she's pretty useless. I also go Leia to 6*, and let me say this, if you've ever wondered if she is useful, get her right now. In the rancor raid I did her basic attack and when she got the two bonus attacks she did 11,000 on the captain. Now she is at 6*, she did 15,000 on the captain. So I'm quite pleased right now.
