Pretty happy with how it turned out. I had to do it twice because I wasn't happy the first time. It's not completely perfect but I figure it will get some marks from use anyway

Every little touch makes it more, and more yours. Paint is hard. It takes a lot of practice to get it “perfect”. And to most painters, it never REALLY perfect anyway.

Yeah painting is a pain; especially if you mess up and need to strip it and repaint. I've done many projects where I come back and find a fly dried to it or something. The texture is mostly visual, but it does have a slightly different hand feel to the unpainted aluminum.

I was wondering how well hammertone paint would adhere to machined aluminum. I'm considering doing something of the same to my Prophecy v3. The paint seems to stick pretty well. The machining process on the saber apparently leaves enough texture, and I did a clear coat afterwards.
