Just remember that even though someone may ask for advice, they are under no obligation to take the advice given or even agree with it.
Obviously there is no need for hostility, but if that happens just be the bigger man and walk away. And as Logos said, some people are just d**ks. I wouldn't take it personally.
I just shrug my shoulders and leave the conversation alone. It's just the internet, No reason to let someone I don't even really know bother me. |

Not only speaking on behalf of the internet, but as a whole. I have had situations like these in person as well. It's one of the reasons, I am very isolated in a way. I formulate contracts for my Dad's business and at times I find those contractors to be the biggest d***s I know. No courtesy, no manners, no human sympathy. They treat their employees like trash.

I want to be a business man, so I want to be as efficeint and helpful as I can. Not only because I want, but because I want to treat everyone as my equal, nothing more and nothing less.
Is it too hard to ask for that.

you should never expect anything from anyone. that way you are less likely to be surprised or disappointed. focus on being the best person you can be and just accept others for who they are. (i'm not saying you have to like their behaviour. just accept that there are people out there who will act differently to you). basically, just a long-winded way of restating what i already said in that statement |

I like to "vent" on folks who start a new thread with one or sentences along the line(s) of "my order has shipped" and write nothing else. I mean, how stupid is that? Sure we all excited for someone who has just purchased a saber for the first time and waited a long while, but a cleverer guy who post more about the whole purchasing experience, decision / thought process etc. whatever else, than just a one liner.  |

There is a line the Joker says in Arkham City (and maybe in Batman: The Animated series as well) that has always struck a cord with me. He said "Manners cost nothing, Batman." That line sticks with me, "Manners cost nothing." It's a line I wished more people thought about. Odd to have learned a positive lesson from The Joker.
I don't treat people badly, but I do treat them accordingly.

Why is it that when I use my iPad for a 5 hour DJ set it works perfectly, but then I use it the next day for just surfing the net and chatting on saberforum and all manner of bugs and glitches plague its performance?

Ugh. Just lost my temper on Teamspeak. Thought I'd gotten where I wasn't going to have that problem anymore, went for months...and today...yeah. It wasn't too horrible, not enough to get me booted off the server or anything like that but...yeah I am as frustrated with myself as I am with the situation that provoked me.  |
