My next paycheck will contain my normal salary + a bonus + 2 stipends. Why am I venting? I'm likely to be taxed so much that what is left will only give me enough to be able to afford an upgrade from a hamburger to a cheeseburger.
You gotta spread these out a little bit HR.
I hated that. My work used to do the same thing. A nice bonus becomes a pittance after taxes. O_o |

I thought you lived much further south than I do?  I am currently training the idiot shepherd that lives behind me. It's a circuitous method because I don't want to deal with the white trash owners, but it's progressing rather nicely. When ever he starts barking incessantly, all I have to do is open the back door. He now knows that if he doesn't shut up the hose will be turned on. These audio cues have been enough to teach him what will happen next if he doesn't stop.  Oh man, I wish I could solve my problem that easily. O_O See, the owners are inside in your case. In my case they are fecklessly watching the insanity like it's normal. But I guess I am using negative reinforcement like you. My Ren Scowl hopefully made a point...as in all seriousness, I would like to AVOID making a point with my bumper. |

Hey justicar- once when I lived at a diff apartment/ neighbourhood, there was this giant Rottweiler that used to prowl the area looking for unattended children or otherwise meagre folks to snack on, used to do all the same stuff- and the owners never made any effort at all, even when the cops and dog catchers started getting involved- they'd always jsit end up getting it back and giving it free reign again. One time I was sitting on my balcony and saw it drag a little girl (like we're talking 6yrs old) down by her dress and drag her around! It was crazy! It always used to run at my truck when I'd pull in from work and since I didn't want to run it over, (dog lover, and it's no the animals fault after all) I'd be left hanging out in the middle of the road, half in the driveway of building half blocking traffic! So one night on the way home I stopped and picked up a can of bear mace, like you know that pepper spray for bears (which I'm sure one would just laugh at if it wanted to get you, if you've ever seen them up close lol), and when it stopped me from pulling in I hammered the e break, came to screeching halt, flung my door open and charged it like a barbarian screaming at the top of my lungs lol!! It actually started scrambling away hilariously before I even got to the mace (think was just so caught off guard lol) but it did the ol cartoon scramble in place because of its momentum and size, so I blasted that mofo. Felt kinda bad but the kids around my building were always able to play outside safely from that point on.
...they got bear mace where you're at lol?

Well, the dog has not been dangerous towards anybody...it's more an issue with a big puppy acting like a puppy and just running around like crazy because it doesn't know any better. As in, the humans haven't taught it better and refuse to control it.

It's only recently been reinstated (about an hour or so ago) after being moved for cleaning. Some people (yours truly included) broke some forum rules by discussing a banned subject and getting into politics. Ultra moved the thread, cleaned all the crap posts out, and put it back. He also gave out a warning to not go down that road again. |
