The padlock was hanging off the gate. Monsoon winds blew it open, and now my dog is missing.
She's old, very deaf, slightly blind, and we live near 2 major roads.
My neighborhood is nice, but the people across us aren't the most trustworthy.
Screw this week.
While I was thinking much the same today, this really puts my own minor annoyances in perspective. I really hope you find your dog soon! |

Never play "hard to get information" with an auditor. Especially don't do it when you used to work for the audit department and we KNOW you know better.
I am now going into a digging mode that resembles Carl nuking the golf course to get that gopher in Caddyshack. It totally did not need to be this difficult.

Not a vent, but I thought I'd update everyone on the situation: I'm getting my dog back tomorrow! Someone called me and said that they found her on my street, looking like she was suffering from the heat (not surprising that she didn't get far, she's old. It's also summer in AZ). He brought her back to his place, hosed her down, and transferred her to a vet place, who then transferred her to our local Humane Society. I saw the pictures he took of her and yep, it's her! I can only hope she'll be in good spirits tomorrow when I pick her up. After a hose down to beat the heat:  |

You know what really grinds my gears? When someone attempts to speak for an entire group of people . . . and they don't even participate in the subject they're screaming about. For example, right now? There is this writer who is shouting about how people shouldn't use art as inspiration for their writing because "artists don't like that."
Uh, how would you know how artists feel about that? You're a WRITER. Sit down.
(And for the record, I asked my artist friends about this subject and they found this writer's assumptions to be asinine.)

The ignorance of some people....I just got a message from a "friend" on Facebook that just blew my mind and not in a good way. Without getting too much into politics. apparently the casting of two certain leads in TFA is some kind of propaganda.
(I don't mind discussing over PM if you want the exact details)

That's pretty much how this came off. It all started with this:  And me saying I would take the date over the role. It then devolved into him saying Daisy looks like a man/a woman transitioning to become a man. Me and a few friends started defending her, then the private message came.... |
