Getting king of annoyed with people being criticial or nitpicky on the forum.
I remember when this was a fun place. No wonder so many of the great regulars have stopped coming on here as often.
i know that we're all geeks to come degree and with that comes an element of being different, but surely finding a forum full of likeminded people should be a cause for celebration and inclusion, rather than writing things that make other feel unwelcome.

I've seen others places get WAY worse, but I do hear you. I'll take that into mind. On another note, I can't find my final paystub from last year. I haven't received vacation pay in 7 years! After inquiring with my union, or buffoon-nion as i like to think of them, they just today, Sept 21, decided to get back to me. This all started because I read on their site that if you don't claim your vacation benefits, then they go as "donation" to the union. Um, ex-squeeze me!! You hold that pot of gold til someone goes and claims it, or, at the very least, contact them and say what's up!! I don't want little Timmy going through Standford and on backpacking trips through Europe on my hard earned vacay pay. Wish me luck, please... |

I've kind of noticed an upswing in that type of thing after TFA came out...not saying there is a connection..just what I noticed |

UPDATE
I found out it!!! In the first place I was looking, to boot. The 2 hours after initial look were a waste of time, which goes without saying. I requested the paperwork from my employer and I'm pretty optimistic I'm plucked! They're paying, from what I can tell, 2¢ for every hour I worked, into a vacation benefit. Damn, sad day

My phone did an update about 2 months ago and I don't like the new setup... Can't change it back though. But mostly it's for the better |

I face 2 struggles doing math with my 5th grader. First is remembering doing it the first time. Second, and most challenging, is trying to explain it while the merry go round train of thought in my head is way ahead of the explanation I'm giving. It's all laid out in my scratch sheet of mental paper, but I have to explain it again, "break it down into a fraction"..."multiply this, don't forget that". It's tough, salute to teachers everywhere.
