Having a SO is no guarantee to not being lonely. I love my wife and love spending time with her...but I have no real "friends" outside of people I see at work and have not seen my family in years. SO there is still loneliness, just compartmentalized so to speak.
I can relate to this, hard. |

Then I guess you, me, and Jev will just have to hang out and be miserably alone together.  Keep trying to find someone guys, you can meet someone in the oddest places sometime. There was a girl working at the drive thru of the chickfila I eat at , I got her number and we ended up dating for several months. You just never know. I usually find someone when I'm not even looking. I like that you're opinionated, Logos. You're honest about your thoughts on matters, I appreciate that kind of honesty. |

I can understand and appreciate that... hope I'm not on your suspect list Mel Brooks said it best.  Having a SO is no guarantee to not being lonely. SO? I'm fully aware of the lonely and in a relationship. When I was married I did nothing without her. My only "friends" were hers. And the only time I was able to interact with anyone else was when I was at work. It sucked. When all was said and done and I look back, I see how the relationship was unhealthy. Despite being miserably lonely, I wouldn't go back just for the sake of not being alone. I just chalk it up as life lessons, and move along. Next one will be better. What really gets to me are seasonal "moodswings". A little anxious if ya know what I mean.  But for the most part I miss the stuff like welcome home kisses, and holding hands while watching TV. The benefit to a friend is that you already know each other without the added complication of sex. The biggest downside is, if the relationship doesn't work out, the friendship usually doesn't survive.  |
