Dumbass Of The Day: A recruiter just called me about a job in Manchester ME that's right up my alley... but only pays a max of 65K per year. I laughed at the number when he said it. Ain't no way I'm taking that kind of junk pay for a place that costs more to live than here. I told him they'd better tack on an additional 20K minimum for me to consider the offer.
Not that it matters, anyway. The recruiter blatantly lied to me. I asked if was a contract position or a direct hire position, and he told me direct hire. He then sent an email that promised me the amount I asked for, and the email explicitly stated that it was a contract-only position with no relocation offered. I told him to shove it.
I mean, what kind of idiot does he think I am that I wouldn't read the email thoroughly?

Cost of Living plays a BIG role in this. As a comparison, visit this site: http://www.bestplaces.net/cost-of-living/Plug in where you currently live, where you are considering, and how much your yearly salary is. What you will get is an estimate of how much you need to make in the new place to maintain the same standard of living you currently have. |

If it is a chevy impala or malibu, they are notorious for that so the intake manifold could be hard to find. Good luck.

It's a Saturn.... no luck at any of the local junk yards...found one online though, be a week or so before it gets here. |
