That's right.  The Dark Sentinel I won as a third place prize in the first raffle that I entered. :)

I "gutted" it, and added V4 sound and FoC to it.  I kept the original GB colour, and enhanced it with an illuminated AV switch.

I "LE'd" it up just a touch.  Subtle but unique...

The one thing I was a bit concerned about with this built, was doing the TRI-Cree in series.  Not only was bridging the two pads on the star an absolute joy, but I wasn't exactly sure about the wattage - right on the edge...

I left the batteries in overnight though, and just powered it up now.   Wow that's bright!  I'm seeing spots now...  That perhaps wasn't the best idea at 5am...

I'd like to add sound later, but it's a little daunting. Does the illuminated switch fit the same hole as the regular switch? That's probably my biggest worry.

Also, I got a tri-LED which means no FoC unless I change that, too (which, hey, some day!).

It sure does.  As long as it's an AV switch already. :)

If it's a guarded switch (raised ring around a centre button), they're smaller (12mm).

Well, you can get 12mm AV switches.  The hole needs to be bored out slightly though...

Yes. It needed something, IMO.  I'm pretty sure it was Corwyn who said that, as schmexy as the Dark Sentinel is, without a touch of help, it's just a black rod.  A very comfortable, well-balanced, beautifully machined black rod, but a black rod nonetheless. :P

I tried to go for a bit of symmetry there by adding the handle grooves too - two apart - heh... :P

LR, that's one awesome saber.  I really like how the body looks but the emitter windows are the proverbial cherry  ;)  BTW, which pommel is that?

Oh ho ho! That sir, is the Dark Menace pommel.  Many Bothans died... :P
