Here is the 36" piece cut down to 32" , I ground a taper into the tip for light refraction & polished the emmiter end to high luster clear for light transmission. I then sanded the whole blade down for a rough finish & then clear coated it with satin clear enamel. I then used a 2" section of heavy blade to choke down the 3/4" section

This is mounted in my jedi katana running an amber luxeon

 The blade is round, Actually for something with strength I'm considering a piece polycarbonate 3/4 clear, that should be able to be dueled with (I would think it would make a better self defense weapon at that point,  you know the one sits next to the bed  Grin
