Thought I'd create this because there isn't many ideas about for carrying a lightsaber and if you're picky like me other people's ideas could be helpful to find the perfect sheath/sheaths for you

Depending on your idea a genuine light saber as shown in the movies is in itself a sheath for the projected beam, now if your thinking of the ones we be from US then you could use a modified sword frog  easily picked up online or use say a piece of pvc with a 1" id and a common leather belt and some craft work you could make one

That's a nice sheath thanks for your input any ideas on 1 where you can just sheath the blade while carrying the hilt on the covertec?

not sure what your desire is but i will throw somethings out there.

if your looking to do some kind of cosplay set up then there are some issues a: the blades do not just snap into place ( unless and i do not have the knowledge in this area ) there exists some kind of quick connector then you could carry the blade it self across your back the hilt on your belt then simply pull the hilt  from your belt reach over your opposite shoulder and snap in the blade and draw it to a fighting stance.

if your looking for simple storage idea maybe with a little style you could order a silk katana storage bag less the $20.00

FWIW, I picked up that leather one from Amazon and it was 'so so' for carrying a saber around, but decent for drawing the saber.... but a different store (I don't think I can patch that store name in...) was selling a 36" leather sheath for over-the-shoulder carry that is not bad for carrying a saber around but not so good for drawing the saber

Quick update: Thought I'd actually try out the sheath I got from a certain patchy shop for $40 + shipping and what not, a wonderful force-sensitive Leather Saber Sheath (ok, is that too obscure? not enough?); instead of just having it snapped into the broomholder while holding the Aeon with a 36" blade, since I actually didn't try it out even though I've had it for a month...

I thought it would be a sling-over-shoulder situation, but the weight of the hilt makes it rotate so that it sticks out, very unwieldy.  there are two 'loops' that might work as belt loops, but I'm at a loss on how to use this leather-esque sheath at this point. Smiley  Lost my photo posting mojo (that img site won't let me upload) so I can't be more specific.

Checking their store photos, I think I'm wearing it correctly... maybe just have the wrong physique to do so. Cheesy

Hmm yeah the weight of the hilt makes sheaths complicated if you can take pics of your sheath 1 of us might be able to suggest ideas for it

I think it's the way I'm wearing it... slung over one shoulder vs across the chest/back... once I do the across, it stays put, but well.. my arms are too t-rexy to unsheath it like a witcher
