Title: Scratches Post by: DragonWitchPrincess on April 18, 2017, 09:11:38 PM Well, these sabers (Aeon V2 And Initiate V2) I've only had for a few months, but they're pretty scratched up. Like 320 grit and then end with 1200 grit. The 320 will get the scratches and then you move up. Towards the end you want something like 1200.

Indeed, this is a great method. Some buffing compound wouldn't hurt either. Title: Re: Scratches Post by: Lord Bladewraith on April 18, 2017, 10:59:51 PM "Maas" metal polish will buff out most of the superficial scratches, and like has been suggested already, you can first use super fine grit sandpaper to remove some of the deeper scratches, and then use the Maas metal polish to finish it up. I've used it extensively on mine, and it works well with soft microfiber cloths, as long as you don't rub too hard. I also recommend you buy the "tub" size rather than in a tube, because it's easier to work with and allows you to just dab a little on the cloth.
