Title: A review of my collection
Post by: tiefling36 on April 02, 2011, 10:37:40 PM
Hey all.  I've been a long time lurker, and I have to tell you that I've enjoyed reading all your reviews and checking out how everyone has customized the sabers in a ton of different ways.  Now I haven't ever bothered trying to review my own collection before, but I figure it's time to quit stalling.

It's not a huge collection, but I thoroughly enjoy the sabers I've picked up.  From top to bottom, my sabers are: Liberator, 2 Dominix V 2 (my Phantom),  my unmodified Obi-wan Phantom Menace saber, my personal Liberator, and my favorite copper Enforcer.  All the sabers aside from the red Liberator have heavy grade ultraedge blades attached for wonderful dueling goodness.

The Liberators are the go-to saber.  They are sleek, lightweight and fast in the hand, yet can take some serious damage without any problems at all.  The unmodified Liberator is my brother's personal saber.  I always try to get him to custom it out a little, but he just tells me that he likes it just the way it is, and I can't exactly argue with that.  But I couldn't leave mine alone.  I had to give it a little personality, so I taped it up and added a little chrome auto trim to finish it up.  I think it turned out pretty nicely myself.

Next up are my Dominix V 2's that I keep coupled together as a Phantom.  It's my newest item added to the collection, and I'm really digging the staff look.

This thing is seriously bright.  These pictures don't even begin to do this thing justice.  As a staff, the Phantom feels very solid and comfortable in the hand.  It has some serious presence and is a dream to spin.  I really like the black anodized finish.  I think it looks really great with the blue Led blades.

Last up is my personal favorite saber: the Enforcer.  This thing is a beast, and has a hilt well over a dozen inches long.  Being made of copper, it has some heft to it, but I really like how it feels in the hand.  It spins wonderfully in the hand and just looks intimidating.  If these were still made, I'd have to buy another just for the sake of owning two!  I bought the Enforcer with a consular green LED, and the color combination of copper and green blade really work well together.

Of course I had to customize my Enforcer and I am quite pleased with the results.  I wove 1/8'' suede cord around the hilt and covered the cord with tape so I could get that nice looking pattern you see.

I taped the emitter area a little as well, but I didn't want to overdo it with the tape, so I let the copper shine through in the end.

The green blade really is insanely bright.  I can't say anything bad about it at all--except that it's about time Ultra came out with a version two of this massive saber.  I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

I figure'd I should add in a couple group shots with most of the blades lit (ran out of batteries so my custom Liberator remains unlit  >:().  I really can't say enough good things about my Ultrasabers.  They do exactly what I ask of them: absolute destruction and heavy duty dueling.  What more could I ask?

Sweet collection man!  I really love the copper enforcer, so...  My evil plot:  I will join the dark side, so that my morals don't prohibit me from stealing it from you.  I swipe it, and then escape to some obscure moon where you can never find me.  The color is a bit unfortunate for a Sith, however, and I don't want to risk ruining it, so I'll have to have someone convert me back to the light so then I can wield it with a clean conscience.

By all means, you can certainly add it to the history of Ultrasabers thread, Big Boss.

And Kaiden, you'd have to rip the Enforcer from my cold, dead hands  ;D

Okay, that is MOST impressive! Great collection, and I love what you did to your personal liberator. It looks sweet, and the little bit of chrome in there makes it. Looks like it's right out of the movies, literally, it BEGS for a costume to go with it. lol And that copper enforcer........ *drool* I LOVE that you did with the grips, that thing is one nice weapon. You nailed the emitter on it. It could not be more perfect. Bravo!

GREAT collection!!! Soooo jealous of that Enforcer!!! I really want a long-hilted "Greatsaber"! I thought my RGB Raven would fill this role, but they managed to put all 4 buttons on the regular hilt. This is perfectly fine, but I would love to have a saber like the Enforcer!! ;D

Very nice. Just goes to show that you don't need a huge collection for it to be impressive.

Very impressive collection.  Not only are the sabers themselves great, but your customizations of them are incredibly cool.  I especially like the wrappings.  Nice job.
