It's really hard to describe. When I use the blue with the Photon, it's kind of an eerie almost radioactive looking green, while the Tri-green is about the same hue in either blade but in the Photon it is green all the way to the edge, unlike in a midgrade where you'd see the silver edge, or washed out in an UEHG.

Yes I think my is same then. Your Tri green looks better in ultraedge or photon? Since the photon doesn’t really react with green?

I think it looks better in the photon blade just because it's thin-walled. The UE I have is HG, so it's a tad dimmer. And although the photon doesn't react to green light the same, it still looks good and gives a very VERY slight yellowish tint to the Green.

Awesome thanks. I was going to sell my photon blade but perhaps I’ll keep it now.

Agreed. Even if you're unhappy with the affect with Tri-Blue, the photon blade is still a great day blade for green in general. Take it out into the sunlight and you'll see what I mean.
Sunlight has plenty of UV light for the photon blade to react with and, to me at least, it looks like the saber is on even when off

Has anyone tried sanding a photon blade? I heard it gets brighter?

Yes, and yes, slightly.  It helps 'trap' the light at the outer edge which aids in the photonic affect
Here's mine:

That photo was taken in my dining room with fun sun coming through the window

It gives it more of a real blade look to it

Why does sanding it make it brighter?

Why does sanding it make it brighter?
Normally light just passes through the blade and we only see a portion of it. But sanding the surface, you create tiny angles that the light can now bounce off of as it passes through. We see that "bounce" as brighter light.
It's the same reason more cellophane made it brighter. The light has more "medium" to pass through and bounce off.
