Title: what is a buckpuck? what does it do?

title says it all im wanted to make a saber and i just want to know what the buckpuck does and is it required? they need some better descriptions on some of the items imo.

Buckpuck is a resistor. It is for your LED and batteries. I don't know if it's required though.
