I’ve tried finding this info here, my apologies if I missed it. Please point me to the right place.

I have a Dark Sentinel LE with Obsidian v3. I got a green LED module to set up for quick disconnect. I know the Obsidian is a 7.4v board, but I’m wondering what, if anything gets stepped down before going to the LED. I imagine most would burn out if not resisted. If so, what’s the output so I can do the math to properly setup the green module. Or is it resisted near the switch and I can use the same resistors for any of the LED modules.

Thanks!

Here is a resistor calculator to help you figure out what you need.

Yes, they use a resistor. However, if you didn't change anything with the configuration when you ordered, they likely used a wired buck puck. One of the advantages of the buck puck is that it's a smart LED driver that will automatically deliver the correct current to whatever LED it's driving.

I won the Arbitor in a mystery box, so...likely has a buckpuck?

It's a good possibility. Easy enough to tell, though. Using my Consular as an example:

Forward of the batteries, you can see a bunch of electrical tape with something square underneath. The square thing is the buck puck. If your saber has one, that is where they put it. They "tuck" it in under the front of the board. If your saber has a resistor, it won't have this, or at least it won't be that big square thing. The resistors they use are much smaller than a buck puck.

Thank you, scifidude, this is exactly what I needed to know! Turns out there's a backpack there, so no worries.
