Here's the setup for the discussion:
ALL the UltraSabers you own have been taken away!   Shocked

The Supreme Chancellor has deemed that for the rest of your life, you can only have one UltraSaber.
You can order any Build you want, and put it on the Supreme Chancellor's tab, but what you order is the only Jedi weapon you'll have for eternity.
What would you choose? Why?

I think I'd go with a gold anodized Butcher with a diamond controller (set to SY and FO FoC) with Obs V4 soundboard. And I may or may not end up adding a crystal chamber...

Consular in the Diamond Controller and set to Sun Rider's Destiny with SY FOC. 

Easy. I would take Archon V3.1 with V2.1 emitter in Diamond setup.

Simpler is better in my book. Solid & dependable Initiate V4 or new V5. It can be dark, light, LE, windows or not, but as a Defender of the Peace, an init V4 (or V5), with a tri-cree led in it, with resistor and rechargeables.  Plus UEHG blade, 36". Illuminated AV switch too.

Silver Dorinian with Red top screw, black bottom screw. Red illuminated black AV switch.
Li-ion with BuckPuck Tri-cree CG with quick disconnects. Black cover-tech wheel. Obsidian V4 sound. 32" UEMG blade with a round tip.

Dorinian over all the sabers?

Diamond Dark Catalyst with a black AV lit with a white light ring.  It looks good, it isn't common, and it is a great dueler.  :-)

I think I'd go with my Graflex CE, keep it Consular Green though maybe with an upgrade to Emerald LED so it can pulse Emerald Green.

I like the Dark Catalyst, don't see it as often.  To me, it can be hidden for stealth and brought out at the last minute.  Good choice

I love mine.  Its finally supplanted my Aeon V4 as my go-to dueler.  :-)

Outside of my Emperor's Hand (diamond controller), i think I'd go with another favorite of mine,  the Spectre, with windows, double covertec wheels, Diamond controller  set up: PO with VA FOC, Obs v4 sound.

My Dark Curved Reaper, which needs to be diamond, that already has BR led.  I love that this saber can be manipulated either single or dual handed.  Using this saber dual handed you have a lot of leverage you can use against an advesary's blade.  I also just really love the look of this saber.  I need a diamond setup so I can change so colors on this beautiful beast!

I've never handled a Dorinian, so I can't say it's the only saber I would want (I am extremely curious to know how it handles for tricky spinning though)

Orange illuminated black AV switch
Dark Catalyst pommel
Emerald driver
Obsidian V4
Li-ion with BuckPuck
No cover-tech (can get in the way of contact moves)
Windows on emitter
32" MG blade with round tip (to be cut down to 30")

This is my idea of the most useful and diverse saber for me personally to actually spin and dual with (and still have look awesome on display).
I also feel like a Dominix, particularly when weathered, can be paired well with any color LED. I also like orange illuminated AV switches with all blade colors as well. Plus, I would want a non canon saber that could be my own. So this would be my ultimate saber despite how many fancier looking sabers there are.

I stand by this as my final answer... I think.

For the record, this question was brought up by someone else. I just thought it was a REALLY good question. So I put it to you faithful forum, can you answer this question? What shall it be?

See, I've already changed MY mind ....... well no, no I didn't.  But I'm liking some of these choices so far, and the Dark Catalyst has intrigued me for some time now.   

Well I only get a v2 phantasm initiate LE. But if I could choose one double, it would be the future phantasm v5 initiate LE in blazing red, stunt setup, with quick disconnect coupler. If I can't keep a double blade, then I would take a v5 initiate LE, blazing red, stunt, dorinian pommel !

Good choice there, DS.  My Dominix V4 made me want the Aeon and those two are my favorite sabers for spinning.  They're comfortable and easy to use without fatiguing my hands.  The windowed emitters ate my hands up in the beginning, but it got callused.  Great choice for function and for looks. Plus, you're right, it'll be your own and you can change colors to switch between light and dark side.  The saber is really versatile and one of US' best original design in my opinion.

I am using a 32" blade instead of the 36" blade.  The actual exposed blade is only about 2" shorter because of the very shallow blade socket, but I haven't had any blade security issues.  The choke point is very comfortable and extremely useful when it comes to spinning or flourishing.

I added a Scorpion pommel to mine for aesthetics.  My current iteration is a Obsidian Lite with a lit AV switch and a Tri-Cree LED in Adedgan Silver which I filter with Lee filters for variation.  :-)

I too use a 32" blade for most of my sabers and tried spinning with a 32" on a Dark Initiate, it was still a little too long for me.  One of the biggest things that steered me away was the concern for the shallow blade socket so it's good to know that it doesn't compromise the integrity of the blade being secured.  I may have to look into this saber in the future

Guess the reasons for my choice only work for myself, lol. A lifelong saber in my book needs to be simple, and easily repaired/modded by the wielder, so it needs to be as simple as I am.

I think I would go with my Aeon v4 with Catalyst hilt and Blue-illuminated silver switch that I am waiting patiently for the funds to purchase (only two to two and a half months to go!).
It's simple, it's plain, it's elegant--all I really want.
Blade colour is Violet Amethyst.

I'd probably go with the Specter with a diamond controller. If I just had money to blow, that'd be the next saber I get.

The spectre is a beautiful hilt and would be amazing in any color. I've always been attracted to it, mainly because I love the pommel.

I love Thorne, my customized Dark Catalyst- a 24” UEMG blade brings the balance out perfect. I’ll keepit with the white lit AV and Diamond board.

Not going to lie, for an original US saber for spin and everyday use, I'd go with an Aeon V4 with the Diamond Controller

I've been pondering this since the question was posted.  I think I'd have to go the simple and useful route as well and go with my Dark Sentinel V4 LE with Diamond controller, windows and black Emperor's Hand pommel.  My hands are on the larger side and the Sentinel design just fits them perfectly for spinning or combat.  Light and effective with enough visual interest to keep it fun and it looks good in any blade color.  Great topic, I've enjoyed reading everyone's reasoning!

Pommel wise, it would be the Shock or the Archon V3.1

So far from what I have seen from ultrasabers I would want the arbiter hilt as a saber staff with the new V5 sentinel emitter lights, adegan silver color. All of that wrapped together with a covertec clip and wheel, a quick release pommel, an heavy grade blade. If I couldn't get that though, I would most definitely ask for an ultrasabers rendition of the Gungi blade from clone wars, dark green.

What is a quick release pommel?

Better go for a hilt I know and love best...

Aeon V4, Diamond Controller, 36" UltraEdge Midgrade blade, Windows in Emitter (because it's always so beautiful to see the blade through them), Emperor's Hand Silver Pommel, make it Sun Rider's Destiny pulsing to Arctic Blue with Sentinel Yellow Flash on Clash (but of course this can all still be changed with the Diamond Controller) and White-Illuminated Silver AV Switch (because it will still look good if I change the blade color).

I like your taste, Crue.  You, Darth Silenoz and myself are Team Aeon/Dominix V4!  ;D

This is a tough one....one saber....my top 3 are my Saviour, my Emperor's Hand, and my Spectre.    I understand where others are coming from with their aeons and sentinels....BUT.....I like the feel of these and the way they flow in my hand.  So....that being said...if I am picking One...and only One.....it is my Spectre.....There is something about the weight and the balance that just works for me.

It would have to be my Crimson Scorpion. That's my favorite out of everything I've used.

What is the requirements to join the Aeonix Dominion? I have 2 Dominixes (Domini?)

Does it count if it is my go-to for "spinning" only saber? My Apprentice is my go to for anything and everything, but I really like my Dominix v2 for spinning (plus it's a stunt, so I can spin it at night).

Only one Saber? I would have to go with the Chosen One CE in Guardian Blue. Obviously if this was my last and only Saber I would hope it would have Premium Sound and that OBS v4 Soundboard hehe.


Although, if it's my last and only saber.. I may have to flip a coin between a Chosen One CE Guardian Blue vs The Emperors Hand Diamond in Arctic Blue... given price is not an issue :P

I am still a newb so I do not know much about the Emerald/Diamond Sabers yet... but really hoping to one day get one :)

Simple answer Emerald vs Diamond. Emerald is the color changing card that uses either an RGB-W LED or RGB-A LED. (W means white, for a pastel effect in a color, A means red, which "fills" the color so it looks richer, fuller).

Diamond does the same thing as Emerald, but also has full sound capabilities, plus it allows you to alter the fonts, the color in the led. PLUS, there are many more sound banks and the newer software updates makes changing the pre-set fonts on the fly, ALOT easier. also, there's mute, flash on clash, color pulsing, etc.... Diamond really is the most flexible card you can get in a saber.

Once you get a diamond controlled saber, you'll see what you are missing.

Not to mention that since the Diamond does what the Emerald driver do plus better and with sound, it only has one card you have to deal with and can fit in most smaller sabers unlike the Emerald

Thanks for the info... they both seem so awesome. Regardless, the Chosen One is on my Wish List. I am hoping to get it for my birthday or X-Mas next month. But now I'm deeply considering The Emperor's Hand. I should stop yapping, I'll probably wind up buying both eventually :)

Hmmm... difficult this question is.

I guess I'd go with a diamond dark arbiter, with a silver arbiter emitter and high profile manticore pommel.

Arbiter does look nice, being MHS compatible with the emitter and pommel. It wasn't on my radar since it looked to me more like a Sentinel/Aeon or Manticore style sabers.

(hadn't read the description, just went from the specs which didn't state it was MHS).

It’s a really nice saber, one that’s been on my list for quite some time.

I picked up an Arbiter during a flash sale some months back.  I hadn't really planned on getting one since it looked so enormous, but boy am I glad the discount spurred me to do so.  It is actually one of my favorite hilts as yeah it's big, but it's really light and feels great in my hands.  It doesn't work that well for spinning IMO due to the straight edges near the emitter and the length, but for sparring it would be awesome one or two handed as the balance is perfect with a 36 inch blade.  Long story short, I agree wholeheartedly that the Arbiter deserves more praise!

It would be an auxiliary staff and not my primary like my Aeon and Nix are.  ;)

As a close second I would like the Emperor to get me the other half of this with crystal reveals on both ends that don't affect ability to hard duel...
