Any Mincrafters out there?

I just picked up the PC version, and I'm planning on doing some building of worlds and such soon. Really want to see if I can't get some Star Wars ships made on planet, and maybe some Star Trek ones too, because, well, I'm a dork.

Bout time this thread came out. I love minecraft.

I'm still learning, dying a lot. And discovered I need to just stay inside the cave at night instead of going after the bad guys

My friends and I built an entire town in the Xbox version of Minecraft. We hollowed out a mountain, built stairs leading up to it, and built a huge house inside of it, complete with a ridiculously complex minecart system. It also had a mob grinder with underground tunnels so that all of the goodies would be dropped off at our individual houses (except mine). I built a tree on top of a tree on top of a tree on top of another tree on top of even more trees and built myself a three-story tree house just for myself ;D

Alas, some guy started griefing and everyone except the original Admin got kicked out. Lame.

Well if anyone wants to set up a server on PC and mess around let me know, just got done making a nice little cave for myself to have that one thing come in and blow it all to hell, but I survived.

I play, been playing for nearly a year (my buddy got me into it, and he's been playing even longer).

We got our own server and everything.

Trick to staying a live at night, is stay out of the forests and jungles. Open plains and deserts are the safest as they have less for monsters to hide behind. If you have torches, designate a "safe zone" and light up the area in the four cardinal points, just wide enough that to keep monsters from spawning in your area, but far out enough that you can keep track of them as well.


Oh...and don't attack an Enderman unless you're near water or have a group of dogs with you (or if you have full armor and can attack relatively fast)

Yeah I ended up creating my own dwarven fortress in a moutainside, turned out pretty nicely, had my door and glass windows in the fortress, even with an internal stream and garden. Then I fenced in a nice area on the outside with a stone wall and a gate, then I dug into the mountain and walled it in just so I can summon monsters when I wanted to. Ended up fairly well. But like the dwarves in the lord of the rings, I ended up digging too deep and got blown up.

I run a fantasy-medieval server in my free time and I am an avid builder. I love Minecraft, and it is one of my prime hobbies on the computer.

cool, I love the building too, and would love to help anytime.

Hey all, I would like to know if you could spend my name and videos. It is very hard to get started, and I thought it would be cool to have some support at the start. Maybe we could do some adventure maps together or something.

Tips for minecraft safety:
1. Build a well lit house
2. When exploring caves, make sure to keep plenty of torches handy (I try to keep at least 1 stack [64])
3. Carry a sword with you everywhere, you never know when you'll get in a tough spot
4. When exploring caves, carry at least one stack of dirt or cobblestone so you can bridge gaps (it does help!)

For the more experienced/ prosperous players:
1. Make an iron golem in one of your mob infested caves for extra safety while minning
2. Enchant books so you can later enchant weapons and items for better efficiency of minning/ mob killing

I love minecraft and would be pleased to help anybody. I also like to make skins (it takes a while for me, but they look pretty cool:) so if anybody's interested... Anyway I figured out how to mak a semi auto TNT dropper and I know how to make a TNT cannon. I'm making a pretty basic castle on creative mode with a simple but cool spiral staircase that's easy to make in creative and survival. I'd be happy to hang out with people on a server!

Sweet. Can you make me a Sith skin with a breathing mask?

Also, sad news guys. I doubt any of you are following my channel, but I have bad news. The world save for Skyblock has become corrupted. Now it won't load up, and crashed everytime. So either I copy the world from memory, or just leave it for now.

I love minecraft. Mostly play on the xbox now that my laptop took a nose dive.

Darth Rifter, I assume you want me to model the head off of the pic in your signature. What would you like on the body arms and legs? Because of the way skins are designed, the breathing mask will be slightly positioned to one side since the pixels are even. Also, the legs and arms are actually just one leg mirrored on the other and one arm mirrored on the other, so I can't make a left and right arm different, same for the legs.

I'll make a prototype for now and prob email it to you on Monday. I'll be away sat. and most of sun.

I have a request/fun thing. I want to film and make a giant pvp/explore map. I have this idea for a giant...country I guess, with a medieval theme. Like a huge castle and town in the center with a bunch of outlying towns, and four more smaller castle towns as well. I have it mapped, and it will be huge, and enormous, and so much fun, I think. I need all the help I can get, as this will be a huge project. SO who is in?

I don't have the PC version, and I also need to cram for final exams.
