Hey saberforum !

When i was looking for a Kylo Ren soundfont, or the file didn't exist anymore, or it was just classic saber sound altered. So, i decided to make my own sound font !

The file countains:
- 1 saber on (from the scene where Kylo is not very happy and destroys a computer)
- 1 saber off (from the same scene)
- 1 lockup (SPOILER from the moment where Kylo locks his saber with Finn's in the snow)
- 6 Hit sounds (same scene)
- 6 swing sounds (same scene)
- 1 boot sound (all made by me)
- 1 hum sound (i think i took it at the begining of the movie where Kylo is on Jakku)
THE SOUNDS ARE IN A V4 COMPATIBLE WAV FORMAT !(16bit, 48khz)

Thanks so much man,I have been going crazy since another Kylo Ren font made by someone on this forum didn't quite sound as good as this one(it didn't sound very Kylo Ren-ish,no offence to the person that made that font by the way) I bet this will please the previous people who have either asked or made their own Kylo Ren font!Again thank you so much!

Heck yes. I can even have the whole soundfont installed when i have 6 sound banks.  ;D

Yes I have and I must say its perfect cant wait to use this font in a duel with bro(he has TFA Graflex font).You got my vote,this is an awesome font!

Wow...this sounds like it might have a lot more teeth on it than the version I'm currently using.  It sounds a LOT louder, for starters.  I'll have to load this onto my saber and let you know how it goes!

Just got the font loaded!  Overall I am very pleased, and it definitely has more teeth than the font I was using before.  My only critique would be that I wish the hum loop were a little longer, but like I said, I think that overall this is the best Kylo Ren font I've encountered to this point. :)

There's just one swing effect that sounds a little off, more like a blaster parry.  I might drop just that one sound, but overall, this is a great font.

I know that one of the swings kind of stops the hum, maybe I'll try to edit it when I will have the time

I made a new version !
Version 1.1 corrects swing2.wav. In fact, the swing stopped the hum sound, it made a really weird feeling. It no longer stops the hum.

This is FANTASTIC! I tested it and not only does it sound movie accurate, the size was small enough to overwrite a bank without having to sacrifice any files like I usually do with so many others!

Are you working on any more? I would love any of the following if you ever fancy giving it a go:
- Obi-Wan ANH
- Vader ANH
- Luke ESB
- Vader ESB
- Luke ROTJ
- Vader ROTJ
- Rey TFA

There are a few of those around, but they're either too big (I don't want to format), or they're not specific to a character (Ep 4 but who? Luke? Obi?Vader?..)

I like this a lot. Only thing, and maybe it's better in person is the one chirp in the hum is kinda annoying. This is otherwise really well done. Definitely going on my Flamberg when I get one eventually.

This is my FAVORITE font!  I put it on my Guardian to override the Ancient Saber font and it's a perfect fit!  Goes well with the Blazing Red and also confuses the crap out of people.  A+ job!

Ive got to admit...that chirp bothers me also..maybe if there were one or 2 more it would be better..or none at all *shrug*

I currently have this on my Bane. It pleases me to the point that I can't imagine using a regular font anymore... Other than the silent one when I'm tinkering. I'll have to check out the new version later but the original is awesome. Well done my friend.

what are the numbers and color for your idle pulse?

I see a lot of people are complaining about the hum, I agree with them so I'll make a new version with the original and a new hum

I actually like the hum. Gives the feel of a very unstable crystal.

It's exactly the same hum, just longer so that you can't hear it repeat itself every 5 seconds

It corrects:
-The Hum, you still have the choice between the original and the new one
-Saberon, wich stopped a little bit the hum, now doesn't. You still have the original one if you want

0.6 sec pulse. 0.4 on primary (red 100) and 0.2 on secondary (red 100;green 3.7). 0 transition.

I have quite a bit more orange for my unstable blade settings, but I haven't really started trying to tweak it just yet. I think the combination of red and orange works very well.

Played with your font and also the one from Arbiter. I like your new longer hum without the 'chirp'. I mixed some of the sounds from both fonts to create one that I find is better suited for dueling. This is only my opinion and not meant to take anything away from either of the fonts. But some of the hits sounded more like 'punches' than actual lightsabers clashing. So I took those out. And some of the swings would have made better clash sounds (and vice versa), so I repurposed those. Just a little re-arrangement. Nothing else. I did not add/create anything. All the work was done by you and Arbiter. You can download the re-arranged font here if you'd like to try it:

And here's a quick clip so you can hear it a little. Apologies for the thumping noises on the heavy bag. Again. This is just my opinion. The original fonts kicked a$$. I just found this little edit to be more optimal for those who like to duel.

I totally dig this reedit of the soundfont. Sounds like crackling fire or electricity is added to the mix when I hear it! Good job!  ;D
