Title: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Gchu149 on April 10, 2011, 12:59:05 AM Some wondercon pics for y'all of the Ultrasabers booth and some saberfolk. Caine is in a few of these as well.
Here's the entire album for those interested too: http://s974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/ (http://s974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/) (http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/SDC10383.jpg) (http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/SDC10377.jpg) (http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/SDC10376.jpg) (http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/SDC10375.jpg) (http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae229/gchu149/Wondercon%202011/SDC10374.jpg) Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: ShadowKatt on April 10, 2011, 07:35:23 AM So many sabers o.o
How'd you guys do in terms of sales? Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Gchu149 on April 10, 2011, 07:41:05 AM The place was pretty much mobbed the entire day, with Ultra and Deep and co. Working as fast as they could. They were even building sabers there if one wasn't already available.
I grabbed a CE Prophecy in blue while I was there (after fighting my way through a crowd). Caine was selling his 7 Forms CDs there as well. Btw, Sorry Caine for not being able to pick up your CDs there, (I was planning on a liberator, but ran out of money that day when I saw the prophecy). One more thing I forgot about... In the very bottom row of sabers in the rack on the leftmost side (sorry there's no good pics of it), is a saber I'd never seen before offered by Ultra: An Ultrasabers Qui-Gon with a shroud made by Vader's Vault with MR sound and a recharge port. I would snatched that up real quick if I brought the amount of cash it cost... (it was later gone that day when I checked up on them before I left). Love the guy with the Sonic Hat @ the 3DS section :D haha Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Caine on April 10, 2011, 07:53:02 PM So many sabers o.o How'd you guys do in terms of sales? There were two saber booths at Wondercon. Ultra and Saberforge Ultra's booth was FLOODED with people. Saberforge didn't have hardly anyone at his booth the few times I walked by. Ultra had techs building sabers there on the spot for customs purchased that day. Saberforge did not. I saw a TON of people walking around the con with their Ultrasaber. The only Saberforge hilts I saw were from 2 people that had already brought them with their costume. Ultra had AWESOME sale prices for the con only. He had a ton of stock, too. Saberforge had ridiculously expensive hilts on display. From what I saw, he brought no stock with him. (although I could be wrong, but his booth was rather empty behind the tables from what I saw) As a business owner myself, I feel Ultra had the best products and BEST overall layout there. You NEED to do con specials in order to sell mass quantities. Based on what I said, you be the judge guessing on how well sales went. BTW, cool pics, gchu149! Okay, now you REALLY make me regret not being there, even if it was over 1000 miles away. Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Gulcasa on April 10, 2011, 09:02:52 PM HAHAHA the Girl on the first picture in the middle.. just looks like an Stand up because of that sign between her feet!
Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Ultra on April 11, 2011, 05:41:37 AM Sales were good. Let's just say we sold over 100 sabers at Wonder Con and leave it at that ;)
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and visited with us. Special mention goes to Master Cain, of course, who fielded many questions from the crowd. We did learn something important, though - we need more than one booth at these things and alot more inventory. Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: sjorsjo91 on April 15, 2011, 07:24:51 AM Would be awesome if the qui-gon became available for a short amount of time. My buddy is desperately searching the internet for one that isn't ridiculously overpriced.

Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: SJJedi on April 19, 2011, 11:29:55 PM It's a good thing I'm out here in Newfoundland. One look at all those sabers, and my wallet would have emptied itself. xD

It's just using the proven US diet. Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: SJJedi on April 21, 2011, 11:51:09 PM It's not sick. It's just using the proven US diet. And the empty wallet thus means that the diet is working, and we should all buy more sabers to keep said wallets healthy. ^^ I like the way you think! Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Qui-Tom Helms on July 14, 2011, 06:55:42 AM I think I will try to attend this one in 2012

I had absolutely no idea Saberforge was even present at Wondercon 2011. Oh well... My only regret was not purchasing one of the Ultrasabers there, particularly a Bane V3, even a saber without sound. It felt so good and comfortable in my hands. I only hope both Wondercon and Ultrasabers return to Anaheim, I will right the mistake from last year. Title: Re: Wondercon 2011 Post by: Zren Tobas on December 30, 2012, 06:35:24 PM I want to go to WonderCon next year so bad. Are there still Dark Prophecies LEs still available for the con only? If so I'm get one in Consular Green. xp I will be in my home made Jedi outfit with my Aeon V3. =]
