Saber Forum

Hi I live in Ontario GTA area, and i was wondering if there are actually any clubs or something like that organized. I live in woodbridge which is a bit far from Toronto. I started collecting light sabers and kinda want to get into practicing with them. So yeah just wondering if there is anything like that already established.

Again welcome to the forums...Stiletto will pipe up soon I am sure, he has a huge list of all things related to sabering, even beyond Ultra Sabers focus.

Well, for you and other Toronto people:
A. NY Jedi has been looking for a choreography club to start up there ever since NY Jedi started occasionally visiting Wizard World Toronto (and they have taken a few members from the Pennsylvania clubs from time to time). I'm sure they would have taught and given advice to any Ultrasabers enthusiasts at Wizard World Toronto 2013. ... but it appears there ISN'T going to be a Wizard World Toronto 2013 (unless they're really that lax about promoting it, it's usually in March or April), and it is unknown at this time if any East Coast USA saber clubs will be venturing to Anime North or Fan Expo Canada this year, it would be a first for those events and the business relationship isn't there. :(

B. There is no club up there yet, so you are going to have to make your own. Hard, I know, but not impossible. For example: search the forums for the word "Toronto" and other nearby cities, there's at least five forum members who post infrequently enough that they are not on the Sparring Partner map, but list Toronto as their location. Set up a Facebook meetup group and mobilize.

C. You can likewise register for and search for other Toronto people on other saber enthusiast forums. One is in my signature (on the right), and two others are competitors to this forum and thus I cannot link to them. I can promise you, there are many people from your area posting, across several years and several forums - you guys are pretty widespread.

D. London, Ontario definitely has some saber enthusiasts costuming up and/or meeting up if you ever venture out that way.

I am in Toronto and have also been looking for something along these lines.  As Stiletto noted there are others looking on other forums but I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone yet.
