looking around the forum today and discovered a lot of people used airsoft masks for sith masks - two things happened when realising how affordable and cool these were i instantly went darkside XD second i bought this

slight issue with a glitch on payment which ended up as an accidental double order but aside from that looks like a good buy (waiting to hear back for a refund for the second order their paypal verified so it should be fine).

what do you guys think of the mask

Funny, I was browsing airsoft masks a few months back thinking the same thing...SITH!.  As cool as a few were, NONE compare to yours.  That is peerlessly EVIL!  Gotta have...  Oh yeah, point for you for such a great find.

Reminds me of the silent bad guy in Hellboy who used the bladed Tonfa's.  Pretty cool looking.

I saw that one too XD its weird the price on these can range between what we paid here and 80 - 90 pounds (150 dollars ish) depending where you shop. mental.

Thanks for putting this up. I've been looking at Airsoft for Sith masks these are some of the most unique looking ones i've seen. I think i'll have to pick one up too.

i found plenty of companies in america that do the same products so id advise shopping for a different site if you live in the usa just search airsoft masks or army of two airsoft masks will save some cash for you guys on postage

i was looking at some of the same masks on another site and they were $60 more, why are they so much cheaper?

they vary in price loads depending where you buy them, the one i bought is coming straight from hongkong so is cheap as hell. other stores will just mark up the price because they import them and them have to sell them on. if you go on ebay you can see the same mask at about 10 different prices for much the same reason. i used to be quite into airsoft and the prices were always massive varying, but its nearly all  made in china.
i didnt mind buying from this store as i as able to pay with paypal  and they offer good buyer security.

the right paintjob and it definitely has a Revan feel to it.

i have been eyeing the same mask for a couple of years now but i just couldnt bring myself to spend $90 on it from another company. i may have to get it from here and start a sith costume. youre right about giving it a different paint job, it deffinately would need one to help it out a bit.

 Yes, Great find! I did the same thing with a cactus hobby mask, (I painted to have The Old Republic look to it) These things are heavy and well built , I think this one was $70.00 from Thailand

i would paint it only because otherwise people will assume your doing a weird metal gear solid mash up as that what that mask is from.
also the company refunded me for the glitch and double payment (despite paypal saying it wasnt something they could deal with) so i guess they are also a decent company :)
the rest of my costume has arrived and im currently painting a small nerf blaster a dark gold with black detailing. Cant wait for the next con now XD

Really happy with it. Nice solid construction and big enough to fit my (annoyingly) bigger than average head in.

As for the varying prices were seeing, I think is due to chinese copys of these masks (which this one is) circulating and not being quite as high quality as the original. Main identifying factor on this mask was the non-removable padding on the inside which I believe a lot of the higher price masks have.

But for the $33.99 plus delivery this mask is really well made with a nice paint job and will be perfect for my costume and as head protection when dueling.

Wow!  I may have to breakdown and order one now.  Very nice.  To be truthful, it did make me nervous that they were in China...Awesome mask!

thats pretty cool looking. question for you, do you plan on removing the mesh from the eyes and cheek areas?

I'm not quite sure yet I was thinking of taking them out and wearing contacts or mabey painting them a darker colour.

Nice mask dhenwood. Any thoughts on customisation or are you gonna use as is. I was thinking of making a back peice to make it look like a full helmet.

I will probably use it as it is. It does very much remind me of vaders breather and would look good with that type of helm. Im going to be a skinflint though and just keep my robe hood up, im a student and im literally running out of money this term already lol
definitely something to consider though, open faced motorbike helmet would probably do the job or a plain airsoft helmet which is possible to get from the same company.  :D

The masks are pretty frikkin amazing.  And the rest of the site!  They have all sorts of crazy tac gear, weapon accessories-- and it's all dirt cheap!  Great find.

Well thank you all for making me spend yet more money I do not have.  Though I now have a new mask for my Sith Costume thanks to this wonderful site. Now if only I can finish my darn saber sometime soon.

Mine arrived today.  We're gonna have to arrange a Sith Clone reunion...  :)

Truly the airsoft mesh masks etc. are great costume masks/helmets. Ordered the Gray Fox one a while back and waiting for it to arrive. Gonna paint the mesh pitch black or remove it completely, don't know if I need to paint the mask itself or apply some decorations to it.

Dude.  That is sick!  I would actually leave it as-is.  Making me want to reconsider the mask I chose with that one...

Anyone ever order anything from that www.airsoftmasks.net (http://www.airsoftmasks.net) ?  I think I might eventually get that Nihilus one but just wanna make sure the site isn't sketchy.  $80 isn't too bad considering I usually see these for around $90 or more.

Most of the ones posted here are the FMA mesh masks, I ordered mine from the wholesale-whatnot located in Hong Kong via Ebay, that way I can get the 90$ mask for 50$ or so.
Although the story about the delivery times is on a whole another level when you go on that path.

I did the Ebay order from HK.  Order > shipping = 2 days.  Shipping > delivery = 2 weeks.  Not bad.  Product quality superb.  This is my first mesh mask.  Visual distortion is significant.  Ok for costuming.  Waste for airsoft/paintball...IMHO.   :)

The website I posted says something about having a choice mesh or pollycarbanite lenses. You get Polly lenses by default I think if you don't specify?

You can also check with your local army surplus store. They might be able to order airdoft masks for you? Mine does here but they only have the plain black full headed helmet and goggle.

does anyone else think that a lot of these airsoft masks are very general grievous looking :P

I'm going to try and get the wanted mask here soon. And I agree it does look kind of Dark Knight Bane looking. But I still like it. I might cut off the moputh guard to have just the nose cover on for kind of a Darth Bane look. xp

Its a go so I will be getting the wanted BAT mask. =] I'm going to cut a large triangle like shape just under the nose piece so my face shows more. Well, if I can anyway. I think it would make the mask look cool. I'll just have to wait and see when I actually get the mask in hand if I can do the idea. I'll be getting the mask next month though so it'll be a late upload like always on these kind of things. Lol.

My mask shipped and now the wait begins.............along with all my "Other components" for my sith costume.  Can't wait!

Cool. Can't wait to see it done. @Digital. Bet its better than what I have done though. Lol. The mask is all I want left though then I'll be set. When my grandma gets back from Florida in May I was going to geek out the first day we visit and wear my complete Sith costume. Might even use my voice changer too. Lol. I got a good Sith voice sounding setting to use for it. I'll make sure to bring my Aeon saber with me so we can get some good pictures. She saw THE originals back in the 70's so lucky her. Same with my mom. Heh. She will wonder what this new era stuff is though, my grandma will. Lol.

Well it has been a week since I got my new mask in....This is the Gray Fox!  Now I have seen this mask range from $65 to $130, BUT on this Chinese Airsoft club site I got mine for...((Drum roll)).......$35 includes SHIPPING!  Can you say Wow!  Hats off to the originator of this thread, for this was the best deal I have seen and helps me complete my Sith Costume!

Digital, that's actually the same mask I'm wanting to get... didn't work out in time for the convention I'm at this weekend, but I'm hearing rumors of another one in August using KCMO as a test venue to see if it's viable to host another.

this is the first I have seen of this thread I would hate to post pics of mine because I also have the grey fox mask from metal gear. Mine is painted black with red LED on the inside to illuminate the inside of mask i also painted of the orange eye black and made and eye peice backlit with LED. I still have a long way to go on the mask though. I just got my Arduino waitng for the wavesheild I am building a real time voice changer and retrofitting it into mask.

It was a bit less expensive than this one. I love the red on the side, it looks like traditional Sith tat's... that side of the mask screams "raw emotion" to me. The other side is more about simple elegance and ... I don't want to say self control... but something like that.

Heated rage and cold malice perhaps.

Also... contemplating painting the fancy trim on the plain side red to match the trim on the other side. Good idea, yes? no?

I think that looks very similar to a sith acolyte from TOR. That with a black hooded robe (like a hooded dressing gown robe thing) and black body armour it would be amazing

EDIT: It could be like a LOTR - Star Wars cross over due to it's Sauron-esqe look too :D

I could see that....I love the lower half...my only issue is the sloping up in the top of the head area...BUT still a very dark mask indeed!

I went with the Gray Fox one from this company...if you don't mind the wait you save up to 40% on what you buy from local sites...

Interesting you see it that way.  I saw a Dark Side Predator.  In either case, it'd be a badass Sith helm.
