I just started work on the website today so its very rough. In short a very fun laid back guild that can push content. focused around humor and real life issues coming before guild issues. if you have a question feel free to ask.

Republic or Sith?

too bad it can't be both. Both sides look really interesting and fun.

Plan right now is that our main side is going to be sith but so far everyone is planning on running with light side alts. we will probably have the guild both sides.
Choosing the side was hard. both have some very cool features.

Im bumping this. My guild is forming nicely. I have my 2 officers and rules as well as a nice website set up. we are all set for the game to start. Its not huge to start but once the game starts its open season on recruiting and pulling ppl in. I want the guild as big as possible for when we start raiding and such. once we hit end game I will start to weed out those who are morons and asses.

Very nice!  I'm sure Artorius and I will bump into you in game, we have our own guild started.  Haven't really recruited, but we're considering it.  I'd rather just get my friends into the game and have them join.

Will your guild be primarily PVE, or PVP?

I'm more of a PVE player, I can enjoy a little PVP from time to time, but I am primarily in it for the story, leveling, and LOOTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I LOVE LOOTING  ;D)

mainly pve, I have some pvp fans but its more of a side thing. we come from a raiding group primarily. many of us are also alt o holics.

What is PVP and PVE??

pvp is player vs player
pve is player vs environment.
pvp is where you focus on fighting other players in battles or duels
pve is where you team up with other players to fight big bosses and big battles controlled by computers.

Thanks...as you can tell by my question I'm not one for games, but would really like to try this one.  Is there going to be an option to play this game solitare (by myself)?

Yeah there should be.  Normally MMOs are made so you can play solo, but also join up with people if you so desire.  It just gives the option of playing with your friends or whatever.  Although personally that's what I find cool about it, I love teaming up with my buddies to kick @$$!

That sound good.  I'm hopeing for something great in this one.  I never cared about playing games on computers before, had a Wii but could never find any of the games that peaked by interest long enought to fully enjoy it.

And I would hate to unleash myself with others until I got comfortable with the game.

Yeah, no worries Brother Qui-Tom, a few years ago I didn't have any idea about any of this either, then I tried WOW and got a crash course in MMORPG'S (I honestly preferred Guild Wars to WOW)

Anyway, I'm much bigger into PVE, simply because I'm far more into the story ;)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not so much the (as I see it) Call of Duty with Force Powers aspect  :-\.....................

I play MMO'S primarily for the following reasons:  FUN ;) STORY ;) LEVELING ;) LOOTING ;) FUN ;) lol ........ etc....  , if I want to hunt someone down and put their head on my wall, I'll jump on my XBOX 360 and pop in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 1 ;)

Same here!  I love story and adventure, so PVE is the choice for me.  I hope there's some way you can team up with the other side from time to time, it'd be awesome to join up with you for a few adventures Wraith!  Ps, what class are you thinking about using?  I see you as being a kind of Sith Inquisitor kinda guy.

Me, I'm going with a Jedi Knight - specifically a Guardian - named (you guessed it) Nero Attoru.  Apart from that, I want to try out the Smuggler cause I love being a rogue and using blaster pistols.  As far as Sith goes, I'm thinking of giving the Inquisitor and Agent a try, both look like fun.

His favorite color lightsaber blade is green and always will be.  I won't even TELL you the lengths he goes to enjoy the color.  He has tendencies, Lord Wraith.  Luckily he isn't a slave to them.  PS - The fact that Nero wants light side points tells me something that it must not tell you.

I was planning on going "Dark Side" as a Bounty Hunter(I've always been a Boba Fett fanboy!), but now I'm thinking of simply being a Republic Soldier since it seems that class may not get enough love...

Hahaha I appreciate your hopes of me joining you on the Dark Side but while I appear to be quite susceptible, I can assure you I am a Jedi at heart.  Just because I am a bit darker than Master Vidnyl doesn't necessarily mean that I am more susceptible to the lure of the Sith - while I respect the Sith ideas you bring forth, it is ultimately not my path.

As for dark side or light side points... I prefer light side points but it doesn't matter much, I'm quite Grey so really it's fine for me to be neutral.  Do as you wish when it comes to this my Dark friend.

Perhaps I will go on a crusade to bring you back to the Light ;)

dude, not cool. I have no problems if you want to ask people here to join your guild but please dont do it in a thread I started to recruit for my guild. its just bad form. dont make me go sith on your ass.

@ qui-tom, A good chunk of the people in my guild are old pros, but I was brought into mmos a few years ago by a freind and taught the ropes, I would be a tool if I did not offer that to others. If you want a friendly place with some cool people where you can play and learn at your own pace, I would welcome you.

Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it.  I just re-read the whole thread and found out it's sith based.  The experience you offer is definently hard to pass up, but I would rather be on the republic side.  I would not want to take advantage of your experience and then slink off to the other side like a traderous dirty-dog.

lol no worries, we are probably going to have a republic counterpart guild, a lot of us want to have a republic character or 2, me I want a trooper. feel free to ask me any questions pre or post game release.

any republic guilds interested in a rivalry/alliance thing and get same server? that way we can have separate guilds but people in both.

There was no info any ware that said i couldnt post my guild in your thread coming from you. By the looks of the topic people could take it that is your guild OR there own guild. For example everyone can share the guilds in one thread. You may think im crazy but thats how it can sound. What do you want 2 threads labeled "my guild?"  Might as well put it in hear.  And second i did not create the guild, i am a member.  We currently have 330+ members and we are pve.  So learn respect like ur "brother" and be nice, 1st off by not say "im going to go sith on ur ass." wait I know the reason for that, the dark side is clouded in there own darkness they become ignorant.

the spelling is not for you, it is for those who read what you write. Spelling is a courtesy. the ability to be understood. as I said originally I have 0 problems with you promoting your guild on the forums, I just thought it was impolite to advertise your guild in a thread I started for my guild. Feel free to start a post for your guild and get people to join. However Due to your rudeness I am going to politely ask you not to post in this thread again.

Loveck, it was a little rude of you to promote your own guild in here. But since you didn't know I think swam can let it slide. You should start a new thread. Also you should spell as best you can(even on the net), as it helps make your posts more clear.

Now swam, I know you were kidding, but it's important to remember that sarcasm doesn't come off too well over the internet. Just something to keep in mind when posting. That's why I normally use smilies, it helps get across that it's a joke.

so the guild is 8 ppl signed up on the main tor website and I have a bunch on another site who are waiting for the game to come out to sign up. if we get 2 people we will be eligable for guild beta testing. so if anyone is interested i would love you.

That's an interesting thought, if you can indeed join more than one I may well end up joining all your guilds!  Even the Sith ones!

You can only join one guild until game launch. Once launch happens you can create multiple characters and join as many guilds as you want/care to participate in.

yeah within a few days of launch ill be joining the obsidian order with a trooper. that way when i get around to him it will be more enjoyable.

Rasczak is the guy who did it. he lead my guild in wow for years. great guy, just doesnt want to run another guild, dont blame him its a tough job. Me being the star wars nut of the group I got the job in TOR.

and yeah, I can imagine running a guild on WOW, or TOR would be a Full Time Job, I thought about starting my own, but in all honesty, I didn't want to have to deal with the responsibility  :-\...

Im good at it. In all my other guilds I am the problem solver. I have not run a guild in a long time but I have run raids, banking and everything else in management. So for tor I have great people running with me and so far a great base of people in the guild. Never have I had the stars come together like they are in this guild.

Quick update. we now have 10 members on tor site and 20 on enjin site. a bunch more waiting for launch to sign up. game is getting close and I cant wait. Guess dungeon defenders wil have to keep me occupied till then.

I'm curious, because I'm hoping that we'll be a fairly balanced Guild at launch if at all possible...  (Tanks/Healers/DPS'S)

we have a great spread. if anything we have an abundance of people wanting to tank which is rare. the only class we seem to be skimpy on is the agent, only like 2-3 people wanting to roll that class from the start.

I can't say I'm surprised...  It's The One Imperial Class I Have No Plans To Do Anything With...

Lora (Mistress Rayne) Was Telling Me That She Would Want To Be A Healer... After Talking To Her For A While, I Told Her That She Would Most Likely Have The Most Fun As A Sith Sorcerer Like Me, or An Imperial Agent, but I'm pretty sure she want's to be a force user, and carry a lightsaber...  The Agents are okay... they just lack a lot of the EPICNESS of the other 3 classes...

That's strange, I personally think the Agent looks really cool.  Sketchy black ops intel guy?  Yes please!
