Title: Consular green p4 led question
Post by: MikeStar007 on May 01, 2013, 06:58:18 PM
I recently bought one of these p4 green LEDs. I decided to experiment with it a little and I noticed it got a fair amount brighter when I switched one of the 3.7v 900mah trustfires with a Duracell 1.2 volt 2450mah . So is this ok or will I burn the led out. I'm using

1 trustfire 3.7volt 900mAh ( which I got from ultra sabers)
And 1 Duracell 1.2 volt 2450mAh

Mixing Li Ion with Ni MH is probably going to cause one of the cells to explode.  I would only use Li Ion with a Li Ion setup.  I once attempted to do a voltage check on a Li Ion with a cheapo volt meter powered by a 9V battery.  The Li Ion cell became heated in under 15 seconds to the point I couldn't hold it.

Wow explode really ?  That's crazy. I checked the charge of the trustfire and it was full power same with the duracell .but I will not be doing that again .
