Hi all,

I noticed that nobody replied to my Guardian review that I won in the raffle, and it turns out that I must not have hit post after I typed it! Ha! Here I go again...  :D

My 1st place prize in the Spring Raffle 2 was a fully-ass loaded Guardian in GB/BH, and man, what an impressive thing it is. As I mention in the video, the Guardian has always been one of my favourite hilts, but not really one I would have chosen for myself. Boy, was I wrong about it! The hilt is as solid (heavy) as it is beautiful, and despite that, it's very nicely balanced with a Heavy Grade blade installed. The pommel is better in real life than in the photos as well, and adds a little weight to the bottom of the hilt to balance a HG/UEHG blade. Beauty.

The Guardian Blue blade is amazing. I'm a CG guy myself, but blue was always a color I wanted in my collection, so the raffle prize solved this want handily. The saber also came with FoC, and the color used for the flash is Bane's Heart. There have been a rash of Bane's Heart flashes being used with blue, and I can see why. In fact, it's hard not to see why unless you're not looking at the blade at all! The BH against the GB is one of the most noticeable, least-subtle flashes one can choose. My default flash color is adegan silver, which I find to be very bright and noticeable, but the BH blows it away with GB as the main color - I have a GB/AS MLS unit and the flash color is bright enough there!

The rest of the saber truly speaks for itself. It is a work of art that is truly functional as a combat ready saber. I am absolutely grateful to Emory and Ultrasabers for this awesome prize. The setup that was chosen for me turns out to be better than the options I would have picked. I am an AV switch guy, and the Guardian came with a guarded momentary. I fell in love with it right away due to both the feel and the look of the switch. I think the hilt looks even better with this switch.

Awesome prize here Eerock!  It is my favorite hilt (and I have it in CG :D) I am going to have to enter one of these raffles some time, hopefully they have a facebook one soon, but I have been saving up  for a EG Consular, and will have to hold off ordering it until the next raffle (I know, excruciating wait right?). Anyway great prize, L.S. points for you!  (Btw, the review is just as long-winded as usual ;))

I saw a guardian at my con up here. It is indeed heavy, not as much as my malice but close.

I think ill get mine in Silver Flash with guardian though. I like bane's heart, but still like silver more.

The guarded switches are great, but I do notice you don't need to push them in as far which makes for some accidental presses.

How is the balance on that staff anyway?

Thanks guys! I'm just as grateful for it now as I was the day I won it. It's funny with this one though... I work on my TPLA stuff using my other sabers, but when I grab this one, I end up swinging it a couple of times, then I stare at how awesome the design is. Distractosaber is distracting. The Bane's Heart flash only adds to the mesmerization. :D

If you were on the fence about getting this saber, I'd offer that it would be a choice that would definitely make you happy. Again, this is not a saber that was on my short list to buy, but now that I own it, I regret the fact that it wasn't. Yay for moot issues!  ;D

A Guardian is definitely on my wishlist, and BH as a FoC is definitely my favorite choice, aside from the Silver. But either Violet and the GB look awesome with the BH. As if my own collection doesn't already say that, haha!  :P

About time you got one man!  I've been singing its praises since the day I got it.  Out of all the four I owned, the Guardian was by far my favourite.  It's not just a display piece as others have commented.  You can duel with this sucker; it's the claymore version of the lightsabers.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you, your review helped me take the jump and choose the Guardian as my first ultrasaber. The colour was also similar to my setup Guardian Blue and violet amethyst clash.

Nice Guardian. Love how you captured the FOC perfectly. This kind of makes me want to get a Guardian myself. Still going over options as usual.

Eerock I don't know how many times you gotta be told,  but you're completely awesome in the way you approach the visibility of these sabers.  It makes take more time when thinking about combinations I'd like to try. Thanks for that,  honestly you are the reason iwill be purchasing a Guardian as my last saber...for a while.  ;D point Going to you.

Thanks, Kal-El! After much Guardian use, it's not a heavy saber to me anymore. This saber has really grown on me, actually, especially since I can swap VA for a GB LED.

Hey eerock, I've finally got around to ordering a Guardian, and thanks to your showing off your setup mine will also be Guardian Blue with Bane's Heart flash. Definitely a cool looking effect!

My recently ordered, and currently 'in transit' Guardian has an emerald driver so... I could certainly give GB/BH a spin to see if I like it. :)

scraver, that's awesome too! Please also let us know what you think of the Emerald driver. If you take a look (probably again) at the Emerald Enclave thread, I do believe someone has taken the liberty and posted up the settings you'll need to get BH as your flash... amongst the other standard colors US offers.
