Title: Sound installs Post by: Sith Lord Marus on June 10, 2011, 04:17:19 AM So say I wanted to get the Obsidian Soundboard, is there a way to obtain/install the Darth Maul 2010 Soundboard as a setting? Also, as far as the soundboard goes and the anti-vandal switch, what makes the clash and lockup effects?
Title: Re: Sound installs Post by: Gchu149 on June 10, 2011, 08:03:58 AM Obsidian doesn't use settings like a MR or Hasbro board, but uses soundfonts (they sound MUCH better than the usual board). There are fonts based on Maul's saber, like Novastar's font Episode I. The clash and lockup come from the board and the speaker.
Title: Re: Sound installs Post by: Novastar on June 10, 2011, 08:31:35 AM Anti-vandal switch is not part of the Obsidian board. It was just shown there in the release video on the Consular saber. Even the standard consular does not come with a guarded, lightable anti-v switch.
If the question about "what makes the clash & lockup effects" is about how to trigger these events... clashes are... umm... from uh--vibration/shock/thwacks detected by the board... which are from smacking your saber against other things. I don't know how else to say it, lol. The lockup effect is by tapping the singular power button while the saber is already lit/on... and to end the lockup sound (and return to "hum" or whatever people wish to call it)... you tap it again. The lock up effect will be a really nice touch :D

Title: Re: Sound installs Post by: TheOaf on June 10, 2011, 10:19:47 PM I have so many questions and I'm very excited for this board... but... *deep breath* patience.
But I have to ask: is there a way to add your own custom fonts? Title: Re: Sound installs Post by: Novastar on June 10, 2011, 11:45:02 PM @TheOaf ... I'm afraid there is no other (quick) way to say it right now.... No.
Title: Re: Sound installs Post by: TheOaf on June 11, 2011, 12:26:39 AM Oh well. I'm sure there will be plenty of very high quality sound fonts available through the store to satisfy me.
