Title: Large street hockey gloves? Lacrosse gloves? Post by: jasond22 on September 24, 2013, 03:06:31 PM I was looking for adult gloves (8" from base of palm to tip of middle finger...or in hockey glove measurements, 15").
Ice hockey gloves felt too stiff in the wrist. Same with lacrosse gloves...but others aren't minding that? The Mylec street hockey gloves seemed perfect (though less protection than ice hockey or lacrosse)...but they don't come in large enough sizes. How are people liking lacrosse gloves? I've tried out street hockey gloves and found them to work quite well also. Regular hockey gloves are rather heavy and stiff, especially around the wrist and thumb. Lacrosse have more wrist and thumb flexibility than hockey gloves, in all the models I've tried at least. Try out the street hockey gloves even if the size listed is too small. Darth_Nonymous found some children's street hockey gloves that we have both used and found they provide more than adequate protection. Pull them on and see if they cover all the important parts: knuckles, joints, finger tips, wrist. Check with your hand open and closed, especially with the fingertip coverage. I just went by what fit well so I didn't pay attention to who made them. |
