Are there any bounty hunters on this forum?

That's actually a very good question.  So far as I'm aware, no there aren't.  Maybe that needs to be looked into....

I've always identified my cosplay character as an ex Jedi turned bounty hunter or mercenary. So I'll join the ranks! I don't yet have a full costume, but I do have some costume items, sabers and some custom made blasters.

Do force hunters count? If so then yes.

With all the people we have on here, surely there are some.

"Ex" is just an abbreviation for failed...ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, etc...sigh lol

Force hunters, were not hunting for a bounty, so they are right out...


It is a curious question though.  Within the RP section there are bounty hunters, but as far as forumites claiming their forum personality as a bounty hunter, not that I can remember.

I don't think I've ever gotten fully into creating a forum personality... generally I'm pretty much me...  as far as personal preferences go, I tend to mentally associate more with the smuggler mindset.  I would much rather walk the grey areas of the galaxy, I can see aspects of the Sith Code being correct, and aspects of the Jedi Code being correct... I'd use a blaster just as readily as a lightsaber.  I suppose if the price was right and the target was right, I could cross the line into bounty hunting as well...

Now that I'm thinking about it again, I have the desire to work on my cosplay outfit again... it leans towards lots of black for color, but not wholly Sith.

Actually Jacen Katarr is a excommunicated jedi (for breaking just about ever rule of the jedi order) who took up a living of collecting bounty on mandalore (aka his home planet). He takes jobs from people with a special hate for jedi.

Yes Jacen Katarr is a made up character so you aren't going to find any references to him. I am in the process of writing a book on his history.

I'm about 80% finished in my mando build.

If you are looking to build one you can't go far wrong with Mando Mercs forum....they have plenty of support, templates and vendors who make plates.

Well me and a few friends are currently working on a YouTube short series, and the character I'm playing, Jarren Vrekk, is an ex (and by ex I do mean failed) Jedi turned bounty hunter, so I guess I'm in. Basically he was training in the order, but aside from heightened reflexes and being skilled with a lightsaber, he was pretty useless with the force. Becoming frustrated with his shortcomings, he runs off in search of something a little more gratifying, eventually settling on hunting bounties. Aside from some concepts there is no costume yet, but I'll post more when I get it together.

Does being an Assassin Count?

I would think not.  I mean like the other guy with the former Jedi now hate filled Jedi killer, their is the classic concept of a bounty hunter bringing in the hunted rather than killing them.  Now certainly some bounties are dead or alive but the vast, vast, majority would be an investment to get that person back for some particular reason that dead would not be preferable.  Assassins do not bring people in, they kill.

When I can afford it, I also plan on putting together a mandalorian bounty hunter costume as well.
