Title: New! Need a little help! Post by: Mandalor15 on January 25, 2014, 07:37:18 PM I recently bought my first saber as a gift for someone at work. I have seen a lot of sabers in this thread whith silver groves. Do you sand the groove until it becomes silver? Or do you paint it? Thanks for any help!!

I'm going to assume you are talking about one of the styles of weathering that people perform on their saber. Now, if I'm correct about this, you start with one of the sabers that has been anodized black and you use sandpaper to weather the black off, creating an aged look to the saber. Title: Re: New! Need a little help! Post by: Darth Cephalus on January 25, 2014, 11:43:04 PM I think you might actually be thinking of the LE versions of some of the sabers. They are the black ones with the grooves silver. For the most part, this is an option from Ultrasabers that they offer on some of the sabers for a bit extra. If those are the ones to which you are referring, they came that way. You could probobly di the same but getting sand paper in the groove might be a rough proposition (seewahtididther). You might be better off with a rotor tool of some sort.
