Well I decided that I can't give my brother a plane jane saber, as beautifull as the d. catalyst is on its own I had to do something special to it. It is for his birthday after all and what a saber to get for his first.

I first did a leather wrap as illistrated in chagojedi's tutortial

I then did some engraving with my dremel

Now its still a work in progress. I may still do some weathering in the emiter to make it look scorched. As you can also see I added the knob from my prophacy and there is still the issue of the hole that was for a recharge port.

I like the Hebrew lettering there.  It looks almost like Aurebesh.

My Hebrew is a bit weak.  I noticed you had some notes.  Does the Hebrew translate to anything or is it just randomly placed for effect?

Actully from some of the sorces I've found it was as the sith script with some charecteres reverced or inverted ( see  darth vaders chest box) and it does spell out shadow mind theif although not in hebrew in english. Funny thing about the hebrew writing system all the charecters can be found within the star of david ( just some fyi for those that don't know)

Nice saber build too! The name is great. Its nice to see a catalyst, doesn't seem like a very popular hilt, but not sure why. It looks great! Point.

Here I'm adding a 5 mm housed accent led the resistor I'm using is a 270 ohm 1/4 w the same that you would use for an illuminated av switch
