Ultrasabers is proud to present The Manticore Collector's Edition. The ever elusive Manticore CE is finally available to everyone on www.ultrasabers.com (http://www.ultrasabers.com). At 11" long and 1.5" wide, this is a very streamlined saber. The emitter is absolutely gorgeous. It's very eye catching with the saber off, but when your saber is illuminated it's simply jaw dropping. This saber is built with high quality aircraft aluminum. It will stand up to rigorous use time and again. It's a 3 piece saber design with a highly pronounced flanged emitter with a gorgeous groove pattern and 10 windows to let the light from the blade or blade plug through the emitter. The saber body has a subtle groove pattern on the grips and the pommel comes in two versions. One version is very low profile to add to the streamlined look and the other is high profile to add some flare to the saber. The entire saber is 11" assembled (12" with high profile pommel) so it's ideal for either two hand or one handed combat. The Collector's Edition version comes in either a High Polish silver finish or a Nickel Plated finish. Both are STUNNING!

The saber comes completely assembled and ready to go. The emitter and pommel are all removable and are both compatible with MHS parts. Sound is also an available option.

Definitely getting one. Finally a Light Side version of the Manticore. :D Silver finish, Guardian Blue Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade, and high pommel. Can't wait for this one for sure. Hope this gets good enough to just want to stay around for a normal saber and not disappear like all the other CE's.

I wanted to get a new saber for the 4th of July (my birthday). This sealed the deal along with the free initiate and summer sale price reductions. These guys really know how to make me spend my money. and when. Probe droids? Pics as soon I get it. FED X better not mess around.

Really, really nice looking hilt. I think I prefer the silver version, but both looks great. I'm not sure I'd ever buy another Manticore... but it does look awesome!

Although these do look great, I agree.  I prefer the contrast between the black grip and the silver emitter.  If these emitters and pommels are available to purchase separately I may have to get those though.  I do like the nickel finishes.

And thanks to the Ultrasabers team.  People wanted more hilts with CE finishes and they are getting what they want, and more.

My precious I always wanted the manticore  emitter now I'm falling for the whole hilt.  :)

All I can say is...Shut up and take my money, you guys had me last year with the give away! I can only hope it stays as an option at least until Christmas so I can pick both up. One for the wife and one for me, guess I will have to wait a little bit longer for my Guardian.

Can there be a sexier saber than the nickel Manticore?!!  Thank you US for another great piece of hardware for us to drool over.  I have a soft spot for all silver/clean hilts so this is a real home run IMO.  Goin on the wish list!

Totally agree!  That or the other color option I'm contemplating is SY, an illuminated switch would be tight on this hilt also.

Yup, have wanted a guardian for some time now and was halfway there, but now with these new Manticore finishes I am having a delemma because the next Manticore I intended to buy was to be sentinel yellow 2ch emerald. This would be awesome for my Manticore staff and now...that combination would go wonderful in all nickel along with a leather wrap where the black should be onthe body! DILEMMA!

What's the difference between the normal and the Emerald? ???

Th emerald version contains the emerald driver which you can use to change the blade color, among other options, to any color you want by hooking your saber up to a computer.  The normal version you only get whichever color you choose when placing your order.

I'm very excited about this I'll most likely be getting a Nickel platted one for sure at some point. I was so jealous seeing one of these show up as a grab bag after I bought my 4-channel Emerald Manticore.

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that this is certainly on the wanted list of sabers

There are afew Videos in the Emerald Section before choosing with or without sound you can look up if your curious about it. It gives you full customization of the blade color to change at your will

I have the regular Manticore with a 4-channel emerald driver and it's a really great feature to have on it for sure

It's Blue. I have the AV Switch in series with the white LED (at the moment), so it only lights during the FoC. with the AS blade and windows, I think it overpowered my poor phone's camera, but it's definitely blue in person. :)

I'll probably change the pulse so that it flickers in AB, rather than cycles between SRD and AB

Yes thx Brian for showing us your new beautiful Manticore, I have started saving for one as we speak tho it'll be some time yet but I CANNOT wait! Patience!  I will def be aiming for the nickel CE.
My plea to US is that you please keep the Manticore CE available for those of us pinching our pennies to one day add it to our collections!

I gotta say, as a proud Manticore owner, this looks pretty awesome.  :)

With that being said, I still love my OG Manticore and the options for customizing the hilt. One day soon I swear to God I'll post a video review of my Emerald Manticore and the color of blue I stumbled upon. I have some plans for the hilt to give it a modernized Japanese samurai sword style appearance.

Actually, what I want to do with my hilt might be easier with this new Manticore by wrapping the hilt a tad?  ;)

I originally ordered it in BR, but there was a mixup with that so I am waiting for the right LED to come in. I agree that any color would look good on this hilt though. It's a real beauty.

Thanks, I love it. The emitters on the Manticore and Overlord are two of my favorites. I have the Overlord emitter on my Archon and its great.

just out of curiosity,  what is the length of the Archon with the Overlord emitter installed?

It's just over 11 inches with the Archon pommel and 10 inches with the Manticore Low pommel I have on it.

I recently got a nickel plated CE Manticore  with emerald/sound.  Currently sporting a red blade with very short pulse to orange. 

Very, Very nice saber.  I couldn't be happier with it...

unless I had a second and a coupler.  Anyone made a double manticore yet?

Hi Zerc01.  You chose a really nice saber and I've rarely heard of it with a red blade.  Must look super.  There are many photos of Manticore staffs in multiple different colors.  Most purchase a vented adjustable coupler to line up the switches.  Suggest checking out the sabers gallery section.

Yes, that Nickel-Plated Manticore CE is awesome in GB! It would definitely look more superb if it were double bladed with another Manticore CE in GB. This would look almost like the double bladed saber Grandmaster Satele Shan had in SWTOR!

I can easily see this one being a Jedi saber. Think this might be my next Jedi side saber but what color :P

It is also just as easily a magnificent Sith saber as well....I have the High Polished Manticore in  Pyrestone orange with the high profile pommel.  This is truly a beautiful saber that would compliment anyone collection.  The hilt length is PERFECT for either one handed dueling or two handed.....and I have fairly large hands so this was a plus for me....but what had me sold on this saber is the ornate widowed emitter, very nice.  When you get this saber Zren you will definitely shun the bellicose for a while..it is that beautiful.

Just ordered a new manticore CE I'm stoked! I've ordered it to use in a new short film I'm doing.

So my package arrived in record time (which seems normal for US) I'm still out of state on vacation so it will be a few days before I can get my hands on it.  It's just sitting there waiting to be freed from it's packing bondage and fired up...  so much for vacation keeping me too distracted to think about it.

I can empathize, saber fever has caught me more than once while on vacation. It's great being passionate about it but sucks that you can't do anything to ease the pain! Focus on the force-no emotion!

How many inches of blade do you lose in the emitter of the Manticore? I'm 5'8" and got a 32" blade, as I like to be able to hang my somewhat long arms at my side, holding the hilt close to the emitter, blade down and not have the tip touch the ground.

Answer, approximately 3.  I know because the saber arrived and I measured it myself!  What a stunning piece! I'm kinda in love with it.  It blows my previous sabers out of the water in just about every aspect.  Like you all said it would be, the design and nickel finish is marvelous in person.  Sound and brightness are as good as advertised - awesome! The hilt isn't as chunky as I thought it might be.  Probably because I only have Parks and MR to compare it to - it very nice to handle.  Also much lighter than I expected and this was a pleasant surprise.  Some of the lightness might be the standard blade that I opted to get cut down to 32".  I have two more blades coming - one is heavy grade so we'll see how that impacts the overall feel carrying and spinning.  I hate putting it down but do from time to time to play with the free Initiate V3 with ice blue blade that I scored along wit the Manticore.  I think I'm hooked.

Right now I'm just thinking of the song "You Sexy Thing" by Hot Chocolate. Awesome saber!

You all are making me want to join the Manticore CE club. Is this one suitable for a Jedi side saber? I know even with the silver could go either way though :P I might get me one at Dragon Con if I'm able to go this year

Thank you Qui-Lar :). I find the Manticore to be a bit heavy compared to my other sabers but it's no biggy. This emitter is of the most detailed I've seen from any saber smith.

I agree with Dauntless, these emitters with you're Flamberge could become a dwarf's saber club(ha :P).

Thanks much JediXIX, the Manticore falls into my favourite category of a streamlined no nonsense lightsaber with just enough flash to it.

I bought a regular 2 tone manicoreabout 3 months ago. It was fully loaded with every option. It is by far my best sabre but the manicore ce is on sale for a stunt sabre. I'm thinking of getting a couple of these and upgrade them with the sound card with clash. They have a nice feel to them

I just bought a two toned one.  Love that emitter.

Well I changed my mind for this Spring raffle, and with the DoTD Manticore CE (silver finish) stunt at $129 ($20 off) I pressed GO on 2 in SRD for a Manticore staff...... Looking forward to joining u lot in the Manticore gang  :)

I'll probably just get one at Dragon Con. Yes I'm going :D Maybe a couple sabers though but they will be stunts for there's a lot of other cool vendors there I want to check out. How about Vegeta with a lightsaber if I can find a Vegeta costume? :P Since there will be cosplay booths there. I'll be saving like crazy until September so I know I'll have plenty of spending money

A Manticore staff in SRD will be a first as far as I know. I recon it'll be a sexy staff when it's assembled.

The Manticore always looked good, but in person the emitter is really such a beautiful design, and in SRD it's just stunning.... I was crazy excited when I placed the order, and almost speechless when I first saw them and put them together..... I'll have to name her, lol, she s just that special..... Easily one of my favourite sabers yet  :D

As a staff, it's really really comfortable, the joined tapered mid section has a great feel in the hand, and helps to "feel" where my hands are for balance, and for hand over hand spins..... In length, it's right in between 2x Initiates and 2x Aeons, and with 28" blades it's pretty much a perfect staff for me..... I've been practicing, no destroyed computer monitor shenanigans as yet, haha  :P

I'd highly recommend a double Manticore staff to anyone..... Perfection  :)

I am not a staff or double bladed saber kinda guy, but that looks spectacular!  Point!!

This is such a beautiful saber, I want to get one with sound.  Just debating between SRD or Consular Green for blade color.

SRD for sure.  One of the best color choices and especially for a silver Manticore.   The photo looks more on the Arctic Blue side in my opinion.  :)

Well... As a new member here I took the plunge and ordered the Emerald Manticore in nickel plate, with the V4 sound board control with an RGBW Led set.

I never liked the shininess of such things but I plan to offset that by adding a rawhide lacing grip along the length of the body so that the nickel plating is contrasted with a weathered brown leather.

I think the effect might be worthwhile.

Great choice! I absolutely love mine. It looks great with any blade color, which is perfect since you went for the Emerald Driver  :)

I just did a strange thing.....

Well strange in that I am a chap, anyway! I don't have any scraps of leather idly waiting around the house and looking at the price of leather in the local haberdashery store, I went looking for another source.


No, I didn't go and kill something furry and then skin it...


I plumped for the far more civilised method of popping onto eBay and buying a leather skirt that was about to be unsold at 99 pence! Years of playing rugby have left me with legs that really wouldn't flatter the skirt anyway - besides which it is size 6 and would probably get no further than my knees, and the skirt should have sufficient for all my saber-dressing requirements for years to come!

Ordered my Manticore CE last Friday, and received it today!  Woohoo!

It's a beaut.

Unfortunately, it's also not the one I ordered. :(  Unless ALL Manticores have black painted "handle areas" in the middle now?  I thought that was just an option... and certainly not an option I chose.

Fingers crossed that the replacement process is as smooth as the order process was...

Are you certain you ordered the CE?  There is a Manticore and then the Manticore CE.

What does your receipt with the specs say?

Ugh.  It does indeed say Manticore and not Manticore CE.  I have NO idea how that could have happened.  I've had the stupid order page up (clearly showing a silver handle!) for two months before finally pulling the trigger!


I notice that when specing it out (and ensuring I'm on the Manticore CE page) the price is identical.

I really don't know how I managed to click on the wrong one after all the time I've been looking at this saber, but US is sticking to their terms, and hitting me with a 20% restocking fee, so this was nearly a $100 mistake, it would seem.

I love the saber, and the emitter in particular, but after this experience, I don't know if I even want to replace it with the correct saber, at this point.

I would say to keep it if you love it this much already :P I myself like dark themed hilts with Jedi blade colors so
