You'll notice that both sabers are wearing the Catalyst pommel, which I'm sure you'll agree emphasizes and extends the already impressive lines of the Aeon v4...

Nice. I actually liked the stock pommel though personally.

This V4 is amazing to hold...one of my favorite duelers.  Mid way through the blade is a pretty good representation of SRD.

You guys's sabers look awesome. As soon as they get back in the dark initiate w/ windows then I'll be part of your club. I'm really hoping to see one come across with a guardian pommel.

Personally I don't think you could go past a Dark Shock pommel. The pommel is slightly wider then the base of the hilt, but it feels like part of the saber. On the other hand, the ridge you see with the Guardian pommel looks out of place to me.

Hmm, was halfway through writing this and just saw Aray's pic & the ridge doesn't even seem visible at all.

Getting the MHS Guardian pommel would match up with the V4 like the one I have on mine, it's a smooth fit. :)

I think on an initiate, it could have potential. I'd be interested in seeing how much length it adds. Because, if it equals out to the length of a full hilt saber, I can get away with using a regular sized blade. That was kind of my thought process. My only concern would have been how far the square pegs stick out, and in my opinion, I haven't decided if I like that or not.

Hmm, so there are Guardian pommels that smoothly attach to Guardian sabers (which is where I got mine from) and MHS Guardian pommels that I'm guessing will work for regular sabers but not Guardians? Well, okay then... :)

I like that with the Dark Shock pommel.

Initiate v4 LE with the Archon pommel. I love this saber! I ended up with the black version of the pommel and am curious how it would have looked with the all silver archon.

Initiate V4 stunt in violet amethyst. I added the TCSS #3 pommel which I had laying around for a while. It never really worked  on my other sabers, but I think it looks great with the V4. Elegant yet purposeful without looking too aggressive.  Perfect!

I also asked for the Shock Pommel, it just flows nicely with the whole theme of the saber. ( and I also recieved the standard vented Apprentice pommel too! )

^ Wow that is some uncle love right there!  This may be the best present your nephew will ever get  ;), looks beautiful and I do like the Shock pommel it's a perfect match. 

Is that a recharge port I see?  And did you get it with sound?

Does anyone have both an Initiate v4 and an Apprentice v4 that they can post some side-by-side comparison shots of?  I'd love to see how they stack up next to each other.

Well, not exactly what you asked for...here is my Dark Initiate LE V4 next to a Dark Apprentice LE V4 I bought as a gift. I bought these in person at a con, and there was so much commotion at the booth that I either didn't see ones with the vents, or they didn't have them. Don't mind the Malice Round Pommel on my Initiate. I've already started customizing. Looks like my anodizing is a little faded...

That works well enough for me.  Thanks and have a point!  The Malice pommel works really well on the Dark Initiate LE by the way!

Hey Hazard! Yeah that is a recharge port you can see (2nd picture, its in line with the covertech wheel) and yeah this one has the whole Shabang! Its got the Emerald driver and Obsidian sound!

That shock pommel really looks at home on the Apprentice/Initiate V4's. I bet it would look good on the Sentinel/Dominix/Aeon's too! ;)

I really like the look of them. I'd definitely have to go for the LE versions if I went for a Dark Sentinel/Apprentice.

I noticed that too, James, and really like it.  That begs another question...does the regular Sentinel LE have a similar brass topped emitter?  Anyone?

On the other hand I'd say while the silver rim fits to the dark one, I cannot imagine the standard one with a brass rim...

If you check out this pic of Darth Burgaar's Apprentice LE, you can see it has the gold anodizing around the top of the emitter, just not in the same style as the Dark version.  I would assume the Sentinel LE is the same.

Top of the emitter on the Dominix V4 LE is silver too.

A-ha!  Thanks, Kleinsasser!  I would assume the Sentinel will follow the Apprentice as well.  Not quite the same as the dark version, but still looks good.

Before I thought the dark hilts only looked good in red. (Because the Sith are darker and all) But the blue turns out quite nice

i have a dominix and initiate...both v3s....i really want either both in v4 or a sentinel and apprentice v4...so many sabers, so little money...

I actually have plans to get the other Dominix sabers. V3 LE in Sun Rider's Destiny and V2 LE in Blazing Red probably or Consular Green. Not too sure yet. I've been wanting all 3 versions lately

 The v2LE looks awesome in CG, that's my friend's setup, he uses a 36" heavygrade for his. It's a little too skinny for my paws, but even so it's an enjoyable hilt to wield.

Maybe I'll finally get around to reviewing my recent acquisitions for post 3000! Let me see... Catalyst, Menace, curved Azure Reaper... I think that's the only ones outstanding.

Yup. Always did like the Dominix V2 sabers. Way comfy for sure. Simple but good looking at the same time

The Apprentice v4 is PHENOMENAL. Small, thin, but great for control, and it has a nice simple yet traditional look to it. Go for it!

I've been contemplating getting an Apprentice sabre too

just checked the tracking on my Dominix, its recently landed at stanstead so its on time to arrive tomorrow
