I'm new to the forums, so this has a sliiiight chance of being in the wrong section, but I figured since I am looking into intel on a future purchase, this seemed like the logical place.
Either way, I am trying to buy an US that looks most like a Gundam Beam Saber. Which model do you think looks the closest? I know there is no exact look alike, but there has to be one that is similar enough.

This question comes as I have a friend who is not a huge Star Wars fan but loves Gundam. I think this would be a great starter into the world of dueling sabers. You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate the art, skill, and beauty of an Ultra Saber.

So I looked up the beam saber and there was a toy one I found that was the only clear pic of the hilt. To me it most looks like a scorpion with the emmitter changed to a straight one and the pommel to a straight squared one. But the a scorpion is black or red and the beam saber was white. That's the closest I can see though.

Yes it is MHS compatible. How close are you wanting to get? Beam saber from a specific gundam or beam saber from gundam anime?

Barely, if you get it with a claw. Definitely if you get it without.

If there are 2 things I know, it's Ultrasabers and Gundam. I'm with Lady M, what beam saber are you looking for an analog for? If you want oldschool G1 (RX-78-2) straight out of 1979, I would say an Aeon V2 in Bane's Heart (forum color. I can help you order.) If you want the Epyon's beam sword, a Flamberge might be able to be modded to produce that.

I've seen it. Cool looking, but more of an expensive mantlepiece decoration (for a saber collector). I've felt that the Shock looks more like a RX-78-2 beam saber, but it needs a different pommel. It has more of an over the  emitter look that you see sometimes. Depending on the animation the beam is emitted from the end of the emitter or over the end of the emitter.

I also just had the idea of a Manticore CE (polish finish) with low-profile pommel and an Overlord emitter. You might even be able to get this all nickel plated, but ask Emory about the OL emitter in nickel finish.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have to wait until my next paycheck to order, but I'm thinking either the Manticore CE with those pommel/emitter swaps, or the Aeon.
How do I order Bane's Heart? It is easily the closest to the blade color. Also, FoC suggestions? Usually I go with Silver, and I think it would be the best choice.

FoC can be a complicated business, so I usually steer clear of it. But AS should do you alright.

Have you given thought to a CoverTec wheel?

I have. I've gotten one for my Bellicose, but it throws off the grip when dueling slightly, so I'm most likely going to opt out of it

That is something I've nevet liked about biased Covertecs. They get in the way. But of all the sabers that it made sense on to place it left or right, they put the Scorp's 180º from the switch. But the Scorp is a nice long 15" of hilt, so it's out of the way.
