Title: Best-looking EU Sabers Post by: BurceChuat on December 13, 2015, 10:13:47 AM Sure, everyone has a favorite canon lightsaber, but what about non-canon ones? I have a couple favorites; here they are in order of looks, at least in my opinion.
1. Darth Nihl's long-handled lightsaber: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/3/3a/Darth_Nihl_LECG.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090602212536 (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/3/3a/Darth_Nihl_LECG.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090602212536). This pretty much ties with Obi-Wan's EP1/2 lightsaber when it comes to my favorite lightsaber design. 2. Tenel Ka Djo's rancor tooth lightsaber: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/fe/Tenel_Ka_Djo_lightsaber_EGF.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090610020646 (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/fe/Tenel_Ka_Djo_lightsaber_EGF.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090610020646). Any lightsaber handle that's comprised entirely of a giant tooth just looks amazing. 3. K'kruhk's Star Wars: Clone Wars lightsaber: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f1/Kkruhksaber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080914053416 (http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f1/Kkruhksaber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080914053416). Big fan of this utilitarian lightsaber. 4. Darth Talon's Yorik coral lightsaber: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f5/Talon_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090210165044 (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/f5/Talon_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20090210165044). Simple and very natural-looking, I especially enjoy how the crystal is seated all the way at the bottom and is clearly visible. 5. Zayne Carrick's second lightsaber: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/0/0c/Zayne%27s_curved_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20091118191753 (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/0/0c/Zayne%27s_curved_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20091118191753). The waviness looks very comfortable to grip, not to mention that it (along with most Old Republic lightsabers) looks elegant. 6. Tra Saa's lightsaber: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/ee/Tra_Saa_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100318153342 (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/e/ee/Tra_Saa_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100318153342). Another one that fuses nature and technology well, although this one is a bit more obvious than the others. The balance between the two seems almost perfect to me. That about completes my list, what are your favorite EU lightsabers? I fell that these could easily be made with the current options that US has. Wouldn't mind having one of these in my collection. Oh well, here are my nominations.
Swashbuckler's saber from SWTOR PvP (Not attainable now ;_;) (http://tor-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/swtor-swashbucklers-lightsaber.jpg) And the Intrepidity saberstaff from SWTOR as well! Oh well, here are my nominations. The CGI Clone War is canon but the genndy tartakovsky Clone Wars is not. About 2 years ago or less someone posted a vid on the forum of one they picked up used and it looked pretty close to this pic. (http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/d/d6/Revan_saber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100318153646) The only real complaint I have is with the pommel...it looks like someone tried to shoehorn a little Obi in there. Wondering where I got all these neat designs from? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Images_of_lightsaber_hilts |
