My first saber (Archon v3.1) is on order and I have plans.  Though I don't know yet if I can make those plans work.

How long can the FoC setting be set to for changing between the clash color and the second blade color?

I was thinking of using it to demonstrate a color to a coworker but didn't want to have that color be part of my pulse setting (as I also want to show of the shimmer effect with the pulse setting).

Ideally I want to have mine set to shimmer Councilor Green (I found nice setting for that already) but have Flash on Clash be something like Dark Violet Amethyst but have the blade hold there for a few seconds before going back to Green in order to show this color to someone else who might buy a saber in that color if they like it.  I won't have the ability there to change blade colors, so I'd like to set it up in advance at home.

I guess what I'm after is a second pulse, but a pulse on command (sort of).

I'm assuming you ordered the emerald driver?

If so, here's how I'd set it up. Find your ideal settings, and then save those in a file. There is a button in the launcher to save it to a file.  Then, take a video of it on your phone. Pulse settings of about .10 seconds show up really well on video. Any faster than that are hit or miss, depending on the quality of your phone camera.  You can then show your coworker what it looks like.

Then, set up a different file with a  configuration where the blade does a slow pulse between the two different colors. Your prefered color and the DVA. You can then switch back with the click of a mouse when you get home.

Or, you can just set up a file with the pulse settings in DVA and show it to your coworker, and then you can switch back when you get home.

There are a lot of ways to do it, just save the files, and you're good to go. It makes changing to your ideal settings for each color so much easier.

Is there a maximum duration for Flash on Clash?  I know it is usually used for quick flashes or multi-flashes.  I was wondering how slow the flash can be on clash.

It is a RGBW Emerald saber. 

I don't know. I've never tried it. I know the duration of the flash and the number of flashes can be adjusted. You can also have the FoC visual effect occur during the lock up, and that can go for a while.

My laptop is on the fritz, otherwise I'd look into it. If I can get it resolved today, I'll see what I can find.

I tried entering some different times in the launcher, 140s being the highest for now. I'm quite sure that the Driver will even accept that time setting. Should be enough for your purpose ;)

Archon v3.1 arrived today.  Played with it a little.  Only the Emerald driver, I still not so sure on messing with the Obsidian yet.

Got the FoC to display DVA for about seven seconds before switching back to my second color (a green) for .04 seconds so it blends right into the "standard" shimmer effect for CG.

This is enough to show off the color while not hampering much.  Sure the FoC doesn't actually flash, but it works if you want the shimmer that fits the hum, but also what to display another color.

After having this saber for about a month I did a compellation of some of the settings I've had this saber's Emerald Driver is to display just what you can do with this device.

Not bad! you can also change the size of the pulse lenght AND the ramp up/down from the base color to teh "pulse" color to create a "lighthouse beacon" effect as well  with the pulse.
