Title: Trying to purchase my first ever saber Post by: Gigahercz on February 03, 2016, 05:04:41 AM Hey guys! I'm new to the forums here. I heard about you guys just over a month ago through another forum unrelated to sabers and dueling and I thought it would be pretty fantastic to have my own lightsaber since I'm a huge star wars fan. I don't think I would get one to duel with, and I'm on a pretty tight budget (go college, woo). However, just for how awesome it would be, I decided that I was willing to spend something like 125-150 if need be to get my very own saber. I can't afford to get one with sound, so I figured I'd go with the stunt saber, but I noticed then that the switch button color for stunt sabers was either red or blue due to the huge number of orders you guys seem to be getting. I've been waiting for over a month, since I don't want to order an expensive saber without having all the parts be exactly what I want, and still the switch color is limited. Now, even the saber hilt I wanted is out of stock. Is there any way of knowing how soon the switch color options will be back? I'm surprised silver isn't available, seeing as it's essentially standard. I don't even want some fancy color, just a basic silver. I don't want to go through another company because many are too expensive and the others I've heard bad things about, but if I'm waiting for months for the simplest switch color to be available then I'm not sure I will wait.
Hopefully you guys get the switches back in stock soon! Gigahercz Title: Re: Trying to purchase my first ever saber Post by: Darth Blightus on February 03, 2016, 05:11:50 AM welcome to the forum, did you acknowledge the rules on the main page? (in red bold)
anyways if its duel-quality lightsabers your looking for, Ultrasabers is tops with or without sound. a little warning, Ultrasabers are experiencing an overflow of orders due to recent events so ordering now is kinda sketchy but everyones who ordered recently did get their sabers after a while. Which saber are you thinking of getting? Obviously you are aware that Ultrasabers are incredibly busy right now trying to fulfil the massive amount of orders they received over Christmas and because of the popularity of the new movie.Hopefully you guys get the switches back in stock soon! Gigahercz With regards to the switch, do you mean the av switch which can light up? As far as i'm aware, that option is still available on every saber that is in stock (or on backorder). Does that answer your question? Title: Re: Trying to purchase my first ever saber Post by: James Casey on February 03, 2016, 01:49:03 PM One option might be to get the 'sabre you want (when it's back in stock!) and replace the switch yourself. If you can find out what dimensions the switch is, replacing it should be a straightforward snip and solder job.
As for restocking it, I'm afraid it's very much a case of wait and see. Contacting US direct ([email protected]) is your best bet, as they'll have a clearer idea on when parts are due in. I know I was expecting things to calm down after Christmas, but clearly that's not the case; We could be looking at the rush lasting through until spring or even summertime. Crazy to think that, but great news for US, I guess. Here it is: Quote Here is the latest update, blog it, tweet it, post it, whatever. We expect to have these back in stock on THURSDAY. So long as customs doesn't give us anymore issues. But guys... it takes time to make these sabers. We have orders dating back to 12/27/2015 for lite sabers and sabers dating back to 01/13/2016 for basic stunt sabers. We anticipate that we can get through 3-5 days of orders per business day. I'm going to push for more. Trust me, I want these sabers made and shipped asap. But that is the latest update that I can give on these. Hopefully that inside bit of information helps. |
